This boy is the ultimate cuddle companion, he’ll happily sleep beside you and melt into your side for comfort. Smokey can be shy and a bit vocal at first, taking a little time to feel safe in new places or around new people. But, once he warms up, you’ll see the sweetest, most loyal side of him. He's playful in short bursts, always affectionate, and devoted to his person. He’d do best in a calm, patient home (and would LUV a mellow female dog friend, too). Meet Rosita! Rosita is a smart, playful, and affectionate girl who’s ready to charm her way into your home and heart. She's currently potty-trained, though still learning to signal when it's time to go outside—she’s making great progress with positive reinforcement! Training & Skills: Rosita is a quick learner and knows lots of commands including “sit,” “down,” “wait,” “come,” “paw,” “touch,” “leave it,” and “look.” She’s working on loose leash walking and doing great! Highly food-motivated (especially for salmon treats or crunchy chicken chips), she also enjoys puzzle toys, sniff mats, and Kong balls that challenge her brain and keep her busy. Personality & Play: This girl LOVES to play! She enjoys fetch and is a big fan of her jolly ball. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs—particularly those her size—and is full of energy for play sessions and running around. Rosita is also very affectionate and adores belly rubs and cuddle time. Social Skills: Rosita is friendly with people and loves to make new friends. She’s still learning not to jump up when she’s excited and may nip at clothing when overstimulated—but she responds well to training and gentle redirection. She’s good with kids, though she should be monitored around younger ones as her excitement sometimes gets the best of her. Lifestyle & Routine: Rosita is crate-trained and currently enjoys a very active lifestyle—about 3 hours of walk/run time daily plus an hour of independent play. She would thrive with an active adopter who can match her energy and continue her training journey. I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Dog F:5Katrina is a stunning 2-year-old, 72-pound Doberman Pinscher mix with big expressive ears and an even bigger personality. She’s smart and full of life, always ready for a good sniffari around the yard and happy to come back for treats and affection (treats are her favorite!). At first a little unsure when she arrived, Katrina has blossomed into a happy girl who greets volunteers and leans in for pets. She’s polite on leash, learned a beautiful sit, and is eagerly working on down and paw. She’s bright and responsive, and will thrive with structure and consistency. Katrina could be great as a solo dog, or possibly with a well-matched canine companion. She’s playful with her people and loves attention. A home without young kids is recommended as she can get bouncy when excited.
