Story
Meet Ned
Ned is an approximately 10-month-old pup weighing around 25 pounds. He’s a sweet, thoughtful boy who’s more motivated by praise and connection than food, though he takes treats and bones very gently.
Ned shows affection enthusiastically and is still learning appropriate manners—he can sometimes use his mouth a bit too much when excited—but he responds well to correction and is already making great progress. He’s a dream on a leash, calmly greeting both people and other dogs, and he’s an excellent car rider. Ned is the kind of dog who would love to go everywhere with you.
He gets along well with his foster’s large dog and shows polite curiosity toward the cat—attempting to play but without chasing or prey drive. His favorite spot in the world? Right on your lap. While he hasn’t been formally kid-tested yet, he greeted a neighbor’s toddler gently and calmly.
Ned sleeps quietly through the night in his crate and is quick to pick up potty routines. He would do well in many types of homes, as long as he gets regular exercise, mental stimulation, and a yard to burn off his zoomies. Curious, confident, and not fearful, Ned would make a wonderful companion for someone who wants a loyal buddy by their side as much as possible.Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies.
Puppies - We do not adopt puppies under 16 weeks to out of state adopters. This is due to our spay/neuter policy, and all dogs must be spayed/neutered before leaving Georgia state lines. We do not adopt siblings to the same household.
Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered.
Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption.
Inquiries - If you would like more information on any dogs in the rescue, please email us at info@herorescue.org.
