🐾 Meet Delta — A Spunky Heeler Mix with a Big Heart 🐾
Delta is an 11-month-old American Blue Heeler mix with a whole lot of personality, affection, and that classic young-dog sparkle. Recently returned through no fault of her own, Delta is ready for a fresh start with a family who’s excited to love her, guide her, and keep up with her joyful energy.
Delta is truly a sweetheart. She loves people and thrives on connection, whether that’s snuggling up with her humans or playing with other dogs. She adores kids and would be a great fit for a family with children, especially one with other young, playful dogs—but she’d also be perfectly happy as someone’s devoted best friend.
In her foster home, Delta has proven just how smart and well-mannered she is. She’s fully potty trained, quiet and comfortable in her crate (which she actually enjoys as a cozy place to relax), and has not shown any destructive behaviors—she sticks to her toys and leaves everything else alone. She rarely barks, aside from excited playtime, and she’s dog-friendly and submissive with canine friends.
Delta is eager to learn and has already picked up household routines by following her foster siblings. She does get excited when people come to the door and is still working on polite greetings with adults, but she’s shown great awareness around kids—no jumping on her foster’s grandson, even while still learning her manners with grown-ups.
Like many heelers, Delta thrives with both mental and physical activity. She enjoys yard play, interacting with other dogs, and enrichment that keeps her busy and engaged. Continued training and structure will help her continue to grow into the amazing dog she’s already proving to be.
Delta is looking for a home that understands young, working-breed energy and is ready to invest in her continued growth. In return, she’ll give you loyalty, affection, cuddles, and endless love.
