Story
Meet Charlotte!
Miss Charlotte came to us emaciated, sick, and trying to feed five two-and-a-half week old puppies. Charlotte is a survivor if we ever saw one! Charlotte is loving her life now that she's healthy. She was an incredible mama (and still is - two of her sons are still looking for homes!) and is now ready to move on to find her own family. Charlotte is likely about 2 years old. She loves to play and wrestle, and is actually getting pretty good at catch! She does a great job on leash and loves to go for walks - she can't wait to get out there and explore the world. Charlotte has loved every person she has met so far, and would make a wonderful companion for anyone who likes to socialize! She can be slightly dog-selective, meaning occasionally she does meet another dog she doesn't care for. We do think this is a result of the overcrowded, harshly competitive conditions she faced in the past. She was also in a position where she likely had to hunt for food, which means she does have a prey drive. She is currently doing well in her foster home with cats, but we wouldn't call her cat-friendly enough to be around them entirely unsupervised. Charlotte is potty trained, crate trained, and is definitely smart enough to learn any and all new skills you'd like to teach her! There's no limit to what we think this girl can do if given a chance. She loves to cuddle, and honestly just enjoys being the center of attention.
We think Charlotte would thrive either as the only dog in the house or with a couple of other canine siblings. As long as there are people around, this beautiful lady is happy. If you enjoy frequent trips to Wiggle-town, this may be the perfect match for you and your family!
Charlotte is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and heartworm prevention, and microchipped. If you'd like to meet Charlotte, please fill out an adoption application at www.bbanimalrescue.org/adopt.
