Are you ready to be the center of attention? With me and my stunning grey-blue coat by your side, all eyes will be on us as we walk down the street together.I’m an active boy and a little frustrated sitting in a kennel all day. I want to be out there, with you, my best friend, doing ALL the things! Once I’m out of my kennel and on a walk, I’m an excellent loose leash walker and extremely well mannered. I know commands like “sit” and if there are treats involved, I’m sure to be a very good boy.I love the yard and will zoom around to get my energy out, chasing each and every toy. Don’t worry though! Even though I might have a burst of energy, I don’t get too jumpy or out of control. I simply like to play! You know what else I like? Scratches, especially booty scratches!I’ve made some fence line friends here at the Center and I do enjoy the company of dogs, especially my gal pals. I’d like to meet any puppers you might have just to make sure we can be best buddies before I go home with you.My playful, sweet side really shines through when I’m with my person or my family. The Center volunteers adore me and I help out as a demo dog for volunteer training sessions. I sure do love the part when I get to eat treats and demonstrate how to sit or stay.The volunteers say I “have been wonderful to work with,” and I know my forever family, when they finally come to the shelter to meet me, will think I`m just as wonderful.

Sweet boy Smoke was left at the emergency clinic last fall after he ingested methamphetamine. He came to us as a very sick bubba; thankfully responded well to treatment by our veterinary team. Smoke has been in foster for the past several months and is now back at the shelter hoping to find his new family! He is housetrained and crate-trained, and enjoys playing with other dogs. He can be a little shy meeting new people but warms up quickly.

Lansom`s foster family reports: `Lansom is a 2 year old energetic, playful, loving, and very smart blue Lacy/Bully mix. He knows some basic commands like sit, stay, no, and walk. Speaking of walks does Lansom love those, as soon as we wake up he knows he gets a walk soon and he’s ready for another one before bed time. Initially on walks he is a little excited and will pull a little but he usually calms down. He’s picking up leash training really well.Lansom figures out routines very quickly and adapts to his environment.He gets along with both our 9 month old German shepherd with a lot of energy and our more mellow 4.5lb Yorkie mix that we have at home. He also shows a lot of interest and positive reactions with our neighbor’s dogs through the rod iron fences. So he seems like he would probably do well with most dogs after initial meet and greets.He is house trained and although does not love the crate will stay in with no problems if necessary. More often he loves to sleep beside his human or cuddle up on a bean bag.He does love to play so someone with kids, other playful dogs, or an active household with a yard is going to be the best fit for this handsome guy!`

Levi arrived without any history, so lucky him, he`s just landed a foster home so we can find out all about his best traits. We know he`s a perfect medium size of less than 40lbs that many adopters are seeking to fit a wide variety of housing types in this area.While he`s been at the shelter he`s been sweetly shy, and very quiet, while he observed and learned the daily routines. He has enjoyed a soft bed and blankets to give him comfort, along with a few adoring fans who have coached him, snuggled with him and gave him a few atta boys, and treats of course.
