`Levi arrived without any history, so lucky him, he`s landed a foster home so we can find out all about his best traits. Besides being a great cuddly, playful companion and family member, check out what we’ve learned:~~ First off, he’s a perfect medium size of less than 40lbs, ideal for many home types~~Levi’s personality is described as “smart and sensitive”, he wants to please his people and that means he can adapt and learn new things easily~~Levi has done well in one living arrangement with another dog and passes dogs outside nicely~~Levi is able to manage a long day between potty breaks. He also knows how to use a doggie door if you have one. If he`ll be left alone long periods, he`ll appreciate his new people understanding that he needs to know you, as his new people, will be coming back when you leave him, and as with all new fur family members, please plan to allow an adjustment period for him to learn this and the new routines in your place ~~Levi loves walks and runs and if you do too, he’ll be happy to oblige you. He loves walks so much he may get a little zoomie in afterward. He’s calm on a leash but please excuse him if he gets a little starry-eyed for squirrels, which leads in this…~~His fav toy is a tree trunk with 3 stuffed squirrels tucked inside that he can dig out and toss around ~~Levi has been in cat training and he’s undecided if he wants a feline as a fur sibling so check in for updatesAre you ready to fall in love all over again? Meet Ranger! Ranger is between 2 and 3 years old and is a Blue Lacy mix. He weigh's around 42 lbs. He is neutered, utd on vaccines, microchipped and heartworm negative. He's had a rough life and is very leary of humans, but will warm up to his people with time. RANGER LOVES other dogs and would love to be in a home with at least one other pup. He enjoys playing outside, but will also come inside and lay down quietly when appropriate. He's mostly house trained and hasn't had an accident in about a month. Ranger is a sweet boy and just needs someone to show him love and earn his trust. Ranger's adoption fee is $165. Mousey is an adorable dog and will make a perfect family pet! She loves all other dogs and romps and plays all day at the ranch with many other breeds...kind of like a dog park in reverse. She came from a very high-kill shelter in California and had been dumped as a puppy in the hard streets of a high-crime area. She had one friend in the world, Sopita, who was also saved by Dogtown. When she first got to the ranch, she could not be separated from her friend, but she quickly found a hundred other buddies and learned that life can be a good thing after all. Little Lucy was saved being given away in front of a store to just anyone. Luckily our good friend and fellow rescuer at Dogtown Ranch scooped up Little Lucy. All of her littermates died, but thanks to Dogtown, Lucy has survived. She is super gentle and a very calm dog for a little puppy. Harley is a sweet, loyal dog with a fun, energetic personality. He’s crate trained, house trained, and has had professional training, but still needs patience on leash. He’s a herding breed, and while he’s very loving, he can get overstimulated and nip at heels of kids when they are running or knock young kids over when excited. For this reason, he’s not a good fit for a home with young kids. He’s grown up around children and has never shown aggression, but his energy and instincts make playtime too rough for little ones. Harley would do best in a home with adults or older kids who understand dog behavior and can provide him with structure, activity, and love. He’s a great dog who just needs the right environment to thrive.
