Rudder gets along well with other dogs, enjoying playful interactions with his foster siblings. However, he does exhibit strong resource guarding behavior, particularly when it comes to food. His foster parent has been able to manage this behavior by feeding him separately in a controlled environment. With proper training and guidance, Rudder can learn to share resources more peacefully. One challenge Rudder faces is storm anxiety. During thunderstorms, he becomes anxious and vocal, pacing around and barking. Providing him with a safe and comforting environment during storms can help alleviate his anxiety. Despite these challenges, Rudder is a happy and affectionate companion who enjoys spending time with his humans. He is fully house-trained and does well when left alone, roaming freely with his foster siblings. Smoke is a young, happy-go-lucky Blue Lacy that`s been living it up in foster since September & is ready for his forever home!Smoke`s foster says, `Smoke loves playing fetch (& has very impressive reflexes, often snatching the ball from the air.) He also enjoys napping after he`s gotten all his energy out, particularly when he can cuddle with his human or doggie friends. He`s also a great guard dog & loves watching our street from the window. My favorite things about Smoke are how has a goofy personality in combo with a serious face, how affectionate he is with both people & other dogs, & that he`s a great communicator! He sits by the door when has to go out, brings me a toy when he wants to play, & climbs into my lap when he wants cuddles. Smoke is very dog-social; not sure about cats or kids. I think he would be just fine with older kids as he LOVES humans but can be quite rambunctious when playing so maybe not the best fit for small children. Smoke is a beautiful, athletic, loving, intelligent dog & whoever adopts him will be highly blessed! Home life looks good on Lansom – it’s time he scores a permanent one!Lansom has had two short stints in foster that gave us a lot of insight. Lansom is: - Completely housetrained- Cratetrained but nondestructive if left out while alone- GREAT with dogs after introductions (has been in a foster with dogs from 4.5 lbs to 52 lbs)- Thrives with positive reinforcement (he’s a sensitive guy)- Never turns down a treat - Quiet in the home- Learns quicklySome reviews from his foster homes:“We had a 18 year old and 14 year old in the home along with friends of the 14 year old that would come and go. He met a 2 year old through the fence and just licked her hand. He was sweet with every human he met.”“He loves to play with a dog that meets his energy level, but he also knows when to just relax and be small dog friendly.”“If we had the space and my work situation wasn’t changing we would totally keep Lansom. He does really well with routines and became such a good friend to our dogs.”“We have a 52-lb female pitbull mix who is five years old. They got along swimmingly. Lansom shared toys with her and never played too rough. He was very respectful of her boundaries in that regard.”“We never had an accident in the house. He was not kept in a crate and did not damage anything in the house, even when left alone with our resident dog. He is really good about going to a designated spot at bedtime. If you have a dog bed (or crate), he won`t have a problem using it.”

`Levi arrived without any history, so lucky him, he`s landed a foster home so we can find out all about his best traits. Besides being a great cuddly, playful companion and family member, check out what we’ve learned:~~ First off, he’s a perfect medium size of less than 40lbs, ideal for many home types~~Levi’s personality is described as “smart and sensitive”, he wants to please his people and that means he can adapt and learn new things easily~~Levi has done well in one living arrangement with another dog and passes dogs outside nicely~~Levi is able to manage a long day between potty breaks. He also knows how to use a doggie door if you have one. If he`ll be left alone long periods, he`ll appreciate his new people understanding that he needs to know you, as his new people, will be coming back when you leave him, and as with all new fur family members, please plan to allow an adjustment period for him to learn this and the new routines in your place ~~Levi loves walks and runs and if you do too, he’ll be happy to oblige you. He loves walks so much he may get a little zoomie in afterward. He’s calm on a leash but please excuse him if he gets a little starry-eyed for squirrels, which leads in this…~~His fav toy is a tree trunk with 3 stuffed squirrels tucked inside that he can dig out and toss around ~~Levi has been in cat training and he’s undecided if he wants a feline as a fur sibling so check in for updatesAre you ready to fall in love all over again?
