It's a sight that'll melt your heart. There is also a photo of her on her favorite chair.   Looking for the ultimate relaxation buddy? Sugar May is a gentle, laid-back gal who loves long naps, cozy movie nights, and brief strolls from the couch to the food bowl. If your idea of a perfect day is cuddling with a very special gentle loving dog with you on the sofa, Sugar is your girl!   Her Story: Sugar's journey began on a challenging note. Used for breeding and then discarded when she was deemed of no value, she was abandoned on the side of the road. Thankfully, she was rescued and brought to a shelter but faced another hurdle with a heartworm diagnosis. Hound Rescue in New York stepped up but didn't have a foster home for her, so I agreed to take her for her Heartworm treatments & allow her the 6 weeks that she needed to recuperate.  Sugar has now fully recovered and is heartworm-free.   Personality Traits:   Sweet and gentle disposition, she makes me laugh every day!  Expressive and beautiful eyes that speak volumes Occasionally gets the 'zoomies' but is generally relaxed LOVES toys! Having missed out on them in her previous life, she's now discovering the joy of play. Additional Info:   Location: New Castle, DE but she belongs to New York (adoption will be under Hound Rescue's adoption contract) Health: Recently treated for heartworm, now negative Preference: Sugar enjoys the simple, relaxed life  We accept Venmo, Zelle, PayPal & Credit Cards for the adoption fee.      About LNF Dogs/Puppies: All dogs and puppies have undergone temperament testing. They have been tested for Heartworm, Ehrlichia, and Lyme disease. Each dog is on year-round Heartworm medication while in the rescue's care. They are up-to-date with Rabies, Bordetella, Distemper, Parvo, and Leptospirosis vaccines. They have been de-wormed. Adoption Fee: The adoption fee includes 30 days of FREE pet insurance, with an option to purchase additional coverage. The rescue strives to provide the best medical care to ensure the health of the dogs, including spaying or neutering. Adoption Requirements: A minimum physical fence of 4 feet in height is mandatory and must be installed. Some dogs may require a 6-foot wood or vinyl fence, as noted in their profiles. Story
Meet Bella, she is a 5yr old Blue Tick Coon Hound female. She is housetrained. She doesn’t require a crate but was crate trained. Bella also went through training when she was younger. Bella is incredibly sweet and very loved. The decision to rehome her was very difficult. Unfortunately, Bella’s dad has terminal cancer and making sure she is taken care of is a high priority. Bella is a typical hound. She loves car rides, outdoors and walks. Bella is also perfectly content lounging on the couch with her humans. Bella does well with children of all ages. She is a big girl so please be mindful that she may knock a toddler over by accident but she is not rough. Bella has previously been around other dogs. However, it has been years since she has had interactions with other dogs outside of occasional walks. Bella would need to have a meet and greet with resident dogs before adoption in a home with other animals. You must be over 21 and a home owner to adopt me. Please visit www.pittiesandpurrs.org to fill out an application. For further information contact adoptpitties@gmail.com

Story
Courtesy post "Riley  is estimated to be a 2 year old blue tick/ Catahoula hound mix that was originally surrendered to Paw Prints Vet in WV. He was adopted on March 1st after getting neutered and vaccinated on February 24th. Unfortunately, we cannot provide him his forever home because we do not have the time or space he needs to be cared for permanently. He loves cuddling and is great with humans, including kids. He does well with submissive dogs, but does not handle reactive or loud dogs well. He is very skittish with some dogs and would be better off in a home without pets and with someone who can run him often and put in the time to train him since he has separation anxiety.  We are located in Westminster, MD and we'd like to get him a home ASAP, as the person whose dog was bit is unwilling to live in the home until the dog is no longer on the property. None of the dogs pictured are the one that was bit. He had no issues with other dogs prior. Contact Kenai at  4439740674  April 25, 2024, 7:14 pm
