Story
Fenrir (Fen) is our lil angel who came to us by accident. We're rehoming him because of our other dog who hasn't adjusted to sharing the attention. We're looking for a new home that can continue providing Fen the love and care he deserves. He has not been around small children yet, and will need future training with this. Fen has completed a basic training course and knows many commands like Sit, Stay, Wait, Come, Take, and Leave It. He's highly food motivated and would do excellent with further training. Fen loves to cuddle and has the goofiest, happy-go-lucky personality. He loves chew toys and stuffed animals. He's very independent for his age, and does well with a schedule. Fen LOVES other dogs and would benefit from having another one (or two!) in his next home. He does not need 3 hours at the dog park, but he loves a good adventure. We're asking $40 as a fee, but this is negotiable if we find the right home for him. Please reach out if you'd like to meet the lovable Fen :)

These pups are in Portland, Oregon too!

He is an energetic, shy but affectionate (once he gets to know you) and smart that likes other dogs and teen kids. He is a great companion for an active family with a secure 6 ft fence, children over 12 years of age or active single person. Catahoula experience is recommended. He is an indoor dog. He likes walks, car rides, toys. and dog beds. He will require daily walks and some dog training. Will require 6 ft fence. No apartments or rentals. No cats. Helotes Humane Society is headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We save homeless and abandoned dogs and find them loving forever homes in other areas, where pet homelessness is not epidemic. All of our pets are located here, in San Antonio, and we partner with rescues to provide transportation for our pets to their new homes. Our adoption fee includes vet care (vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchipping, etc), as well as transportation and health certificate. Please contact us to ask about our adoption process and our adoption fees.

Story
Video: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/TAmDTkRtmHI Bentley is a stunning hound pup about 7 months old. He found himself on death row due to space limitations at small rural shelter so we got him out. He is great with other dogs and doesn't bother cats. He has a deep bark like a typical hound and is active and happy like a typical hound. He has big paws so he might be mixed with something like great pyrenees. He's a big goofball who will bring lots of entertainment and joy to your life. He is currently still in Oklahoma where he was rescued but can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. We have frequent transports to the locations below. He has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take him in or he will go back to Oklahoma on the next transport until a new home is found. www.facebook.com/desideratarescue/reviews Transport locations: - Washington State (Kennewick, Lynnwood/Edmonds, Seattle/Tacoma) - Oregon (Portland and Springfield) - Colorado (Ft Lupton) - Illinois (Vandalia) - Indiana (Spiceland) - Ohio (Columbus) - Pennsylvania (Pittsburgh and Harrisburg) - New York (Buffalo and Albany) - Connecticut (Enfield) Vetting: neutered, microchipped, dewormed, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, dhpp vaccine x 2, lepto vaccine x 2, heartworm tested (negative), on monthly heartworm prevention, on monthly flea and tick prevention. Adoption fee: $500 (includes the $250 cost of transport from Oklahoma) Adoption application: https://form.jotform.com/82677586784176 Desiderata Rescue is Oklahoma Licensed Rescue #95

Story
Video: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/0DGxNx-6rl0 Seashell is a beautiful Catahoula mix with the most stunning golden merle coat. She is young, about 7-8 months old and weighs about 35 lbs right now. She is great with other dogs and with cats. She plays like a puppy but doesn't have crazy puppy high energy. She is very sweet and will be a great family dog or companion to an individual or couple. Seashell was on the euthanasia list at a small rural shelter that gets no foot traffic so many beautiful, adoptable dogs die there. She was one of the lucky ones that made it out. She is in Oklahoma where she was rescued but she can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. We have frequent transports to the locations below. She has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport and one of the locations. These are drop off/pick up locations, not rescue locations.
