Story
We have come to the very painful decision that it is time rehome Augustus. Augie is a 4y8m old hound (treeing walker/blue tick) dog located in Gresham/Portland. He is playful, friendly, and sweet. He is sooo smart and loves his people. He listens well and is eager to please. While he loves to lounge around the house all day, he is also a great travel buddy who does very well in off leash spaces with good recall. Unfortunately, even with all of his incredible qualities, our home is no longer a good fit for Augustus. Augie struggles with resource guarding against our other dog. Because of this, he needs to be an only dog OR with very experienced owners who can provide more management and consistency than we can now due to our increasingly mobile 14m old son. Augie is neutered, up to date on his shots, and very healthy. We will provide all vet records. He would come with everything from toys to crate and we would absolutely take him back if it wasnt the right fit.

Howdy, partner. The name’s Boone, and yes, I am as adventurous as my name suggests. I’m a 3 year old, 80 lb Catahoula Leopard Dog mix with a heart full of zoomies, a nose built for adventure, and enough personality to keep life interesting every single day. If there’s an adventure happening nearby, I would like to be involved immediately. Don’t let my explorer status fool you because I’m also affectionate. I absolutely love my people. Getting pets, leaning dramatically into your legs for attention, and being told I’m handsome are some of my favorite hobbies. After a day of important adventuring business, I’m more than happy to hang out with my humans and soak up all the love I can get. I’m an active boy who would thrive with a family that enjoys getting out and doing things with me. I’ve got that classic Catahoula energy where life is simply more exciting when you’re moving. Honestly, if I could create my dream schedule, it would probably include adventures during the day and cuddle sessions at night. The good news? I also do great with other dogs. Having dog friends is pretty awesome because we can run around together, exchange sniffing information, and discuss extremely important neighborhood business. As for cats, we don’t know my history with them yet. I would do best with kids over the age of 7 who understand that even goofy adventure boys like me sometimes need a little space to relax and decompress. I’m a very sweet dog, but I appreciate people who respect my boundaries and understand dog body language. Basically, if you’ve been looking for a hilarious, affectionate, adventure-loving sidekick who will make every day feel a little more fun, I might just be your guy. Catahoula Leopard Dog mix looking for a family that’s ready for adventure, laughter, and a little bit of lovable chaos. I’m the kind of dog who wakes up every day ready to seize the moment. Hiking, long walks, exploring every single smell on planet Earth like I’m solving an important mystery, that’s basically my full-time job. I’m an active guy who loves being out and about with my people. Now, while I may look rugged and adventurous, I’m actually a giant softie underneath all this good looks energy. I love affection from my humans. Pets are wonderful. Belly rubs are incredible. Being dramatically told I’m the most handsome boy ever created is necessary for my emotional wellbeing, honestly. I also do great with other dogs. Having dog friends is awesome because we can play together, run around, and bark at absolutely nothing as a team. As for cats, your guess is as good as mine. Because of that, I’d do best with kids over the age of 9 who understand dog boundaries and can give me space when I need to decompress. I’m a sweet boy, but I’ll thrive most with a family that understands structure, consistency, and helping me continue building confidence and good decision-making skills. At the end of the day, I’m basically the perfect mix of adventurous hiking buddy, goofy comedian, affectionate cuddle bug, and slightly chaotic wilderness explorer.
