Story
Pastel is a senior poodle mix around 11 years old. He's a little timid at first. He seems to trust the instincts of other dogs to tell who's a good human. Pastel is looking for his forever home with a family that can take it slow at first. He's so gentle and loves to snuggle other dogs. Pastel would do best in a home with another small dog to learn the ways. Come see if Pastel is your family's perfect new addition! Located in Greeley.

Story
Meet Snoopy Male DOB: November 14, 2021 (estimated) Weight: 15 pounds Breed: Terrier / Poodle Mix Neutered (Fixed) Microchipped Healthy & Adoption-Ready Personality, Breed Info & Expectations Snoopy is a calm, loving little dog with a gentle personality and very sweet nature. He enjoys companionship, quiet affection, and simply being close to his people. Snoopy has a mellow, easygoing energy and would thrive in a peaceful, loving home where he feels safe and included. He also gets along well with: Dogs One important thing to note is that Snoopy can become protective over food around other dogs. If there is only one food bowl available, he may try to keep the other dogs away from it. This is not uncommon in rescue dogs, especially dogs who may have experienced food insecurity or survival situations in the past. Because of this, Snoopy would do best with: Separate feeding areas Structured mealtimes Supervision around food with other dogs Slow, patient guidance and routine Outside of mealtime, Snoopy is described as affectionate, calm, and very loving. As a Terrier / Poodle mix, Snoopy may show traits such as: Intelligence and emotional sensitivity Strong attachment to his people Affectionate and companion-oriented behavior Alertness and awareness A calmer but engaging personality Snoopy would thrive in a home that can provide: Daily companionship and affection Structure and routine Patience and understanding A calm, stable indoor environment He would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a gentle, loving dog with a sweet soul. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Many rescue dogs come from very different backgrounds. Some may have previously lived in homes, while others may have come from the streets, overcrowded shelters, neglect situations, or environments where they had little structure or guidance. Because of this, most rescue dogs arrive with only basic training at best, and some may have had no formal training at all. Even dogs who appear calm and well-behaved in foster care or at the rescue are still adjusting and learning. The rescue environment itself also does not always allow for extensive one-on-one training. While we work hard to provide safety, structure, socialization, and basic guidance, adopters should expect to continue support and guidance after adoption. Snoopy will benefit from: Positive reinforcement training Structure and consistency Calm introductions and routine Supervised feeding routines around other dogs Patience during adjustment periods Continued socialization and companionship Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 days to decompress 3 weeks to learn your routine 3 months to fully feel at home With patience, stability, and commitment, rescue dogs often blossom into deeply loyal lifelong companions. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Owning a dog is a lifelong commitment that includes companionship, routine veterinary care, training, exercise, mental stimulation, and financial responsibility. Snoopy will need: Routine veterinary care and updated vaccines Flea prevention and deworming treatment Continued training and guidance Daily companionship and interaction Proper nutrition and preventative care A safe, stable, indoor living environment Because Snoopy is a Poodle mix, routine grooming and coat maintenance will also be important to help keep him comfortable and healthy. Consistent veterinary care, emotional stability, proper nutrition, and patience are all essential to helping Snoopy continue thriving in his future home. Snoopy is an indoor family dog and is not to be chained or left outside. Story
Meet Daphne, newly adoptable little cutie! Nine pounds of floof, affection, and absolute devotion. Daphne is about 3 years old and the kind of little dog people dream about finding…soft, sweet, and happiest when she’s right by your side. She’s a true Velcro dog who would gladly spend 24/7 as your tiny shadow, curled beside you on the couch, following you from room to room, and making sure you never have to do life alone. She’s potty trained, quick to learn, and eager to please. She came into rescue as a stray, and after her hold was up, she found herself needing a little extra help finding the home she truly deserves. We suspect she’s a Maltipoo, maybe with a little Bichon mixed in, but mostly she’s just the perfect blend of tiny, cuddly, and completely lovable. Daphne gets along well with other dogs and cats, once she has a little time to settle in and feel safe. She loves people easily, but what she’s really searching for is HER person, that special human she can bond with deeply and follow faithfully through all the ordinary little moments that make up a life. She is the kind of dog who will make your house feel softer, warmer, and more like home. If you’ve been looking for a tiny best friend with a huge heart, Daphne may be waiting for you. If you are interested in adopting Daphe please fill out our adoption application at brighterdaysdogrescue.com ##2732971##

Story
Ava is a dignified middle aged girl that deserves far better than being turned into a high kill shelter. She was at risk of euthanasia due to overcrowded conditions. We're so grateful to our kind and compassionate Texas rescuer for opening her heart to Ava. As she said so well, Ava is the most cuddly and loving snuggle bug! She's a low maintenance girl who is SO sweet and kind! She just wants to love and be loved (just as all dogs do). Ava is a perfect choice for anyone who is searching for a best friend to provide quiet companionship, silliness and pure love. Ava is a gorgeous Shih-poo (Shih Tzu / Poodle mix), according to the Texas vets. She was picked up as a stray and brought into a small rural shelter, then reclaimed by her owner, and a day later surrendered back to the shelter by them, stating that they "didn't have time for her anymore". Ava, at just about 8 and a half years old and 20 lbs, would be that perfect companion for anyone who is searching for a very sweet lap dog that doesn't require a ton of exercise but does enjoy her walks. She will be by your side to hug and love on. These are always the most important things to Ava! She's a small pup and so portable and well-behaved that she can be a full-time best friend accompanying her guardians everywhere a sweet and very lovable smaller dog is allowed. It's always amazing to us at Farfel's Rescue that these dogs with very sweet and engaging temperaments (and as dignified as Ava) end up in precarious situations. Ava was a last-minute save for us. She may have been euthanized in a dismal shelter if kind rescuers hadn't stepped up. But how could they not have? This sweetheart is just so awesome with lot of time ahead to be a lover (smaller breeds, with great nutrition and lots of love can live to very ripe old ages) and live a life in which she can bring so much joy to a special individual or family. Ava may be a bit shy initially as rehoming is challenging for any dog but with love and nurturing, she will absolutely shine. We envision Ava with either retirees (she would be overjoyed with time spent and being at the center of a loving family) or a younger family that works from a home-based office and enjoys spending their time at home with a fuzzy friend. A like-sized, gentle canine friend would be great as well. Ava would enjoy the companionship and cuddle times with this doggie friend. For those family members who enjoy walks and time outside along beautiful Colorado paths, Ava would enjoy sharing the experience. Being right by her favorite person's side gives Ava the feeling of being loved and cared for in a way that she's only dreamt of before. And then, maybe Ava's favorite part, is when it's time to end the day with hugs, belly rubs and a warm spot on the bed (or in her own cushy bed) close beside her beloved family. As a Shih Tzu / Poodle mix, Ava appears to be a non-shedding dog. As is evident in her photo, Ava's coat is in need of some loving care and grooming. The family that is interested in adopting Ava will need to commit to lifelong coat care. Our beautiful girl will require periodic grooming (approximately every 8 - 10 or so weeks) and excellent nutrition (a daily salmon oil supplement for coat care and fresh food such as Chi Dog Food (chidog.com) is important for coat care as well as longevity. Ava has been vetted, vaccinated in order to receive her interstate health certificate for her transport to Boulder. She has also been spayed to stay true to Farfel's commitment to a euthanasia-free future in the canine population. Ava is available for adoption now! Applications are currently being accepted and can be found at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/. If you're interested in this extremely sweet, cuddly and irresistible best friend, please fill out our application completely and submit. **PLEASE NOTE** Farfel's Rescue makes many efforts to place our dogs with families that are excellent matches. We do this through our Farfel's Rescue application found at the link above or at farfels.com (never through rescue site apps such as Adoptapet or Petfinder as they don't provide enough information). If you're truly interested in adopting Ava, please be sure to fill out the Farfel's Rescue adoption application. It's the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving pup. We're sorry, but in many cases, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit a Farfel's application. Thanks very much for choosing rescue.
