Meet Tofu! This sweet, spunky girl is guessed to be a terrier/poodle/shih tzu mystery mix with a big personality packed into a little body. About Tofu: *Potty trained *Walks well on leash and loves going for long sniff walks *Great with other dogs and super friendly with everyone she meets *Sleeps quietly through the night in her crate, we're working on settling in the crate when left alone *Super playful with toys and other dogs, loves running around the yard (not required) *Decent around cats, she can get very playful with them but redirects well *Medium energy pup that needs at least an hour of activity and enrichment daily (walks/running/sniffing/puzzles/toys/running alongside a bike) *Super smart and easy to train - learned "sit" and "come" quickly *She is very chill in the house while her foster mom works from home as long as she gets her daily exercise *Loves going on adventures and did great in all stores when her foster mom took her shopping! Good to know: -Working through some separation anxiety — she whines but isn't destructive. Shared-wall homes are not ideal unless someone works from home. -Gets excited and may jump or nip at clothes — best with older children. -Her gorgeous coat needs regular grooming appointments. All POSO Dogs come with: - Spayed/Neutered - Basic Shots (age appropriate) - Fecal and 4dx testing - other medical concerns addressed before adoption - 2 Free one on one dog training sessions with a professional dog trainer - Training received in foster home - Basic things like some food, treats, leash and collar - PDFs of training material and local coupons and dog sitter recommendations

Story
** If you are interested in adopting Popcorn, please fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ ** Meet Popcorn! Popcorn is an adorable 20 lb Poodle/Papillon mix who is just beginning his new life. Popcorn was found as a stray and ended up in a Texas shelter and is now heading to Colorado for a fresh start. Beyond that, his history is unknown - but what we can see is a sweet, soft-natured little guy who is ready for a fresh start and someone to call his own. Popcorn has got a really charming and unique look: the soft, curly Poodle coat paired with those unmistakable Papillon-style ears that give him an expressive, alert, almost butterfly-like elegance. It’s a combination that makes him stand out in the best way—fluffy, scruffy, and just a little bit whimsical. Personality-wise, Popcorn is friendly and social, and he’s done well with other dogs, which is always a great sign for a dog coming out of a shelter environment. He seems to enjoy being around people and is starting to show that he wants connection and reassurance from those around him. Like many young dogs with unknown backgrounds, he may need a bit of time to fully settle into home life, learn routines, and build confidence—but he already has a really nice, open energy that suggests he’s going to thrive with consistency and kindness. At around 25 lbs, Popcorn is a great smaller size...easy to take along on outings, but still substantial enough to keep up with adventures and play. We imagine that once he feels safe and grounded, his Poodle intelligence and Papillon sweetness will really shine through, making him a fun, affectionate, and loyal companion. Popcorn is looking for a home that will help him decompress from shelter life and show him what it means to be truly cared for. With a little patience and a lot of love, he’s going to make someone a very special best friend. Farfel's Rescue and our Texas rescue partners would love to see Popcorn in a home with an individual, family (older kids are preferred so there's no tail-pulling or awkward handling) or active retirees who have the time and love for a very loyal and sweet dog. We'd hate to see him left alone all day while his family works full-time outside of the home, as he is much too social for that type of arrangement. We'd like to place Popcorn in a home where he'll get consistent stimulation, exercise and love. A (virtual or in-person) positive reinforcement group training class promotes great behavior, bonding and confidence. Training is so important in the future behaviors of every dog. It's for this reason that we're unwilling to adopt to a family that doesn't make this loving choice. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of both in-person and virtual positive reinforcement / force- free trainers in your area. Popcorn is up to date on his vaccinations, has been fully vetted, is healthy, heartworm negative, and is neutered. Farfel's Rescue is a fully foster based rescue, and offers a one week trial with every adoption. We feel that this is much more beneficial to not only the dog, but the adopter too. We believe that only getting 20-30 minutes with a dog before deciding on a lifetime commitment is not a fair amount of time to the adopter, or the dog. Therefore we give adopters one week with the dog to assure it is the right fit, and offer a full refund of their adoption fee should it not workout within the week trial. Farfel's Rescue has been doing adoptions this way since 2005 and is thrilled to adopt out ~400 dogs each year. Applications are currently being accepted for our wonderful pup. If interested in this gorgeous, very cuddly/sweet and loving best friend, please fill out an application completely at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ and submit. **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application found at the link above or at farfels.com. Adoption site applications such as Petfinder and Adoptapet don't provide enough information and therefore aren't useful. Our Farfel's application is the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving dog. We're sorry, but in many cases, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit our Farfel's Rescue adoption application. Thanks very much for choosing rescue.

Story
Meet Peter! Peter is a small, white Mini Schnauzer mix with a lot of personality packed into his little frame. Rescued from the shelter just in time, Peter has been given a second chance at life, and now we’re looking for his perfect forever home. Peter’s ideal adopter is an experienced dog owner who understands that some dogs need a little extra care and patience. Peter has shown some bite tendencies, and while we’re working with a trainer to understand his triggers, it’s important to be mindful of his boundaries. He doesn’t like being picked up and prefers not to be pet unless he comes to you first. When he feels safe and comfortable, Peter can be snuggly and affectionate—but it’s always on his terms. He is good with other dogs, so a canine companion could be a great fit for him. However, because of his biting history, Peter should not be in a home with children. Peter isn’t just a dog—he’s a work in progress who needs someone willing to invest time, patience, and love into helping him thrive. In the right home, Peter’s personality will shine, and he’ll reward you with loyalty and companionship. If you’re the experienced, patient adopter Peter needs, please fill out an application on our website. Peter is waiting for someone to see the good dog he truly is and help him live his best life. Once he warms up, Peter is incredibly affectionate and loyal. He would do best in a quiet household with adults or older children who understand his need for patience and kindness. If you’re looking for a sweet, devoted companion, Peter is ready to meet you and start a new chapter in his life!

Sweet like pie, meet Professor McGonagall. At 12 years old, she was ecstatic to have an adopter lined up at the infamous Apple Valley high kill shelter. But when the adopter never showed up, she was heartbroken. Left on the urgent high kill list, we rescued Professor McGonagall because we believe every dog deserves another chance at finding their forever home. She is a mini poodle mix who loves spending time with you, whether you are going on a stroll or cuddling up with a good book. Story
Hi there, my name is Enzo! I am a handsome guy looking for my new home. I have a unique personality and I am intelligent and independent. I am looking for a home with experienced dog owners. I can become overstimulated and mouthy so I am looking for a home with adults only. While I can be in the vicinity of other dogs, I would prefer not to live with other dogs. I am very smart and really enjoy training and learning new things. I understand that I have a lot of needs, but once you make a connection and bond with me, I am a really cool guy. My adoption fee includes my neuter, a microchip, vaccines, and a fourteen day limited health guarantee through Redstone Animal Hospital! Come and visit me today! Primary Color: Apricot Weight: 24.3 Age: 5yrs 2mths 3wks
