Story
Cilantro was one of the most badly matted dogs we have ever taken into rescue. He was found roaming the streets and was in sorry shape, indeed! Along with the matting of his coat, our vet discovered that he had a major hernia, which was immediately removed. A Doodle mix, he is about 2 years old and weighs 53 pounds. Now he's a happy, happy boy who is super sweet, a real cuddle bug who loves toys and going on walks. In fact, he's a real social butterfly! You can read more about Cilandro's story here: https://www.crossingpathsanimalrescue.org/rescue-stories/mom-knows-best (posted 11/21/25, ME) Adoption Fee: $395.00-- covers microchip, worming, all vaccines, monthly heart worm preventative, monthly tick/flea preventative, spaying/neutering, health certificate, and complete medical records. Transport Fee: $160.00-- We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip. We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs. **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. **November 21, 2025, 1:23 pm

Story
This sweet girl is named Carley. She is an 8-year-old, 20-pound Bichon Friese mix with a bit of sadness in her big eyes. You see, her owner has passed away and left her behind. She's a laid-back girl who is both house and crate trained. She loves affection, too. She promises that, although she'll need to be groomed periodically, she will reward you with all the love she has inside her. This girl deserves a loving home, one where she'll never be left behind. (posted 11/29/2, ME) Lower Fees: Adoption Fee: Adoption fees for Hope dogs, Seniors and those who have been in rescue for prolonged periods of time are reduced to $150.00-- covers microchip, worming, all vaccines, monthly heart worm preventative, monthly tick/flea preventative, spaying/neutering, health certificate, and complete medical records.
