Story
**A Tail of Three Boy Puppies** Devon, Britzio, and Matteo are three brothers looking for their forever homes. These pups were born at the rescue after their mom was rescued while pregnant. They have already faced a few challenges, including being bottle-fed after their mom ran out of milk early and overcoming Parvo at eight weeks old. Now, the boys are healthy. They eat well and love attention, fresh air, and sunshine. They turn three months old on May 7. Because they have been handled since birth, these puppies are very well socialized and extremely loving. Their mom, Penny, and their sister Carmella were adopted locally. They are happy together and enjoy having a big brother to guide them. The boys would love to find families of their own, too. They will do best in homes with a friendly adult dog who can help show them the ropes. Devon is a sweet, dark chocolate-colored puppy, and Matteo has a reddish coat. Both have long fur. Britzio is shorter with short fur. All three love to cuddle and enjoy being close to people. Matteo was bottle-fed from the start because he was a preemie, and he loves to follow you everywhere and be held as much as possible. If you work from home, Matteo would be a great fit. All three are very affectionate. Matteo is a bit talkative, while the other two are quieter. If you are looking for a loving companion, consider adopting one of these sweet pups! These are some of the sweetest puppies we have raised, thanks to all the early handling they received. Hershey (Penny’s brother) was given a DNA test. These pups are quite the mixed-breed mutts. Their dominant breeds seem to be Poodle/Aussie Shepherd and Chihuahua. They also have a super mutt mix of pug/maltese/german shepherd/Miniature pinscher, and a host of other small percentages of breeds. If you are interested in adopting one of these lovable boys and giving them a forever home, please reach out to us for more information or to arrange a visit. Your new best friend could be waiting for you! www.smallpupsrescue.org May 27, 2026, 12:20 am

Story
**Meet Beau: Your Future Furry Companion**   **Five-year-old Beau** Introducing Beau, a stunning Jack Russell-Papillon mix affectionately known as a Papi-Jack. At just 5 years old, Beau is a devoted and affectionate companion who, despite his initial shyness, can quickly transform into your most delightful friend. His joy upon seeing his favorite human is heartwarming, as he eagerly seeks love and affection. If you're looking for a furry friend to fill your heart and home, Beau is ready to give his all to someone who will cherish him forever. Behold, gorgeous, sweet, and wonderful Beau. Beau originally came from a hoarding situation, where he was locked in a large crate for most of the day with other dogs. He runs free at the rescue because crate confinement is stressful for him. Beau needs and loves having a yard to soak up the sun and take potty breaks. While he enjoys the company of one or two dog friends for socialization and will do well with buddies, he can also thrive as the only dog, soaking up all the attention. An adult-only home is essential for Beau, as he can be frightened by children or grandchildren, which may lead to anxiety and biting. His shyness means he prefers a calm, quiet atmosphere where sudden movements and loud noises don’t startle him. Are you searching for a sweet, loving companion who wants to be by your side every moment? Beau is the playful friend you've dreamed of, eager to bring joy into your life. He boasts a medium-to-long, soft, silky coat that requires regular grooming to keep him looking his best. Known for his cleanliness, Beau enjoys being brushed, showered with attention, and receiving those all-important hugs. He's housebroken, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Beau is not just a pet; he's a loyal companion who forms deep bonds with his special person. As a natural watchdog, he’ll let you know when guests arrive, but he will appreciate a quiet spot to retreat to when unfamiliar faces come over. With just 1-2 close companions, Beau becomes the ultimate lap dog, showering you with kisses and hugs once he feels secure in your presence. He gets along wonderfully with small dogs and enjoys playing with older puppies. Due to his Jack Russell heritage, Beau has a strong prey drive and needs a home without other small animals. So, no cats, mice, reptiles, or similar pets can be kept in the household. **Ready to Make Beau Part of Your Family?** If you’re intrigued by the prospect of welcoming Beau into your life, please use the link below to apply for adoption. Our dedicated team will review your application, address any questions you might have, and ensure you’re a great match for this lovable pup. Story
Meet Kenzie,  A Cairn Terrier-Poodle mix, and her bonded puppy, Sofie. Kenzie was rescued from an overcrowded kill shelter. Unbeknownst to us, she was pregnant, and a few weeks later, she surprised us with a 3 AM delivery of four puppies Kenzie is a gentle 3-year-old Cairn Terrier mix looking for a loving forever home. She has faced some challenges and now hopes to find someone who will walk with her, cuddle with her, and care for her every day. Sofie is Kenzie’s 4.5-month-old puppy and the smallest of her four surprise pups. She may be shy at first, but she quickly warms up and loves to cuddle when held. Sofie thrives in a gentle, quiet environment where she feels safe and secure. She enjoys being around people who are patient and offer her lots of love and attention. An ideal home for Sofie would be one with a relaxed atmosphere and plenty of opportunities for cuddles and playtime. Whether you're a single person, a couple, or a family, Sofie will fit right in as long as there's a loving corner for her to settle into. Kenzie likes eating human-grade food and relaxing in the sun. She enjoys her toys, playing with Sofie, and exploring together. Here's what a typical day with Kenzie and Sofie might look like: In the morning, Kenzie and Sofie start their day with a refreshing walk around the neighborhood, followed by a tasty breakfast of human-grade food. As the day unfolds, they enjoy some playtime together, engaging with their favorite toys and occasionally napping in a sunny spot. In the afternoon, you might find them happily exploring the backyard or snuggling next to you while you work from home. As evening approaches, Kenzie and Sofie love another walk, followed by more play or a quiet evening cuddled on the sofa. When you’re busy, they keep each other company, and when you’re ready to relax, they’ll happily cuddle on your lap. Kenzie enjoys daily grooming and loves being close to her person. This includes regular brushing to keep her coat tangle-free and occasional baths to maintain her cleanliness. She adapts well, whether you work from home or take her with you. Don’t miss the chance to welcome these sweet girls into your life! Kenzie and Sofie are ready to share their love! **Adopting Kenzie and  Sofie **  To   adopt this mom-daughter pair, please use the link below. One of our volunteers will review your application and follow up with you to ask questions, address any concerns, and determine whether you are a good match for this pup. If a match is made, the next step will be a meet-and-greet. Please use a computer to complete the application, as tablets and cell phones may disrupt the process. Missy has transitioned to a human-grade diet that avoids kibble and focuses on a healthy, canine-specific feeding regimen. We will educate her adopters on proper diet and nutrition.   The adoption fee is $550.00 for both Kenzie and Sofie and includes Kenzie's spay, vaccines, rabies, and a microchip.   https://smallpupsrescue.org   May 27, 2026, 12:20 am
