Story
Meet Salem! He is a GORGEOUS 10-week old, male, kitten. Salem has short silky, shimmery fur and beautiful hazel eyes. He is not a Bombay, but looks very similar and will have a body shape that is lean and lithe. He is so friendly and affectionate and will immediately start purring the minute you pet him. He is definitely a cuddle bug! He would be happy to be adopted on his own or be a wonderful addition to an existing fur-family. Salem is an orphan whose Momma was hit by a car. But, after joining a different litter of kittens he has adjusted well. All of our kittens are looking for a loving, safe, and forever home. They are afforded lots of room to play and socialize with their siblings. They are currently being fostered by a loving family with children. They are also very affectionate as they’ve been constantly held, handled, and loved since they were first rescued. All of the kittens are healthy, vaccinated, and were spayed/neutered on 6/30/2022. Are you ready to give them a forever home? Please visit our website at www.aaofus.org and complete our application at the following link, https://aaofus.org/adoption-application.html. Please call 858-779-4384 should you have any questions. If approved, the foster family will reach out to you to schedule a Meet-and-Greet appointment No appointments will be made unless we have received an application so that we can match you with the best fit for you. Follow us on Instagram @aaofus where you can see more pics. Please allow 48 hours to process applications and respond back to set up appointments. Unfortunately, responses back to those who do not qualify are not possible due to high volume of applications. Please consider adopting one (or more!) of these fur babies! LIVE!! LOVE!!! RESCUE!! ADOPT A HOMELESS PET AND SAVE A LIFE!!!

Please consider adopting one (or more!) of these fur babies! Due to high volume of calls; NO PHONE calls are accepted at this time - therefore, please text us or email us.- A minute of conscious - Please read:) We ask you Please to be SERIOUS adopters; as there have been so many people that are not ready. We set up meet & greet appointments, do a home visit or send them the address for some meet & greet locations, paperwork and suddenly they said they are not ready or spouse is not ready, etc. These fur kids have a very hard day the day of their appointment. Due to travelling we hold their food, so they won't get car sick. We bath them, some of them are schedule for grooming as you know it is stressful for them; then they have to travel with us picking up other rescued fur kids, and so on, it is a very stressful hard day for them for people to just cancel at last minute or not show up or do show up and just say they are not ready. Our time as well as your time is valuable. Please don't waste valuable time that is so precious for a rescued pet. Every single wasted time is a time that an animal will die because we didn't get to them on time to help them. In addition, of wasting gas and grooming fees which are paid by volunteers. Please take the time to put your shoes in the shoes of the volunteer and most of it to put your shoes on our rescued fur kids!! Please take a minute to tell yourself if you are ready to adopt and for this commitment. LIVE!! LOVE!! LAUGH!! ADOPT A RESCUED HOMELESS PET AND SAVE A LIFE!!

All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated, and microchipped.  * If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Meet Darcy, a charming 7 year old guy with a heart as big as his personality. Darcy's sweet nature is immediately apparent; he's the type of cat who will greet you with a friendly meow and a purr. His loyalty knows no bounds, and he's always there to offer comfort and companionship. If you are looking for a tall, dark, and handsome guy that wakes you up at 3am for attention, Mr. Darcy will consider your adoption proposal. His nonchalance quickly evaporates around mealtimes, and he will gladly cuddle with a warm blanket and a good book. Mr. Darcy requires a large space for brooding and a single-pet household because he would love to be the center of all your attention. He's a vocal kitty, communicating his thoughts and feelings openly. His delightful personality makes him a joy to be around. He is not super playful but will bat the occasional toy mice around when the mood strikes him. He loves to get daily pets from his humans and enjoys snuggling up at night with them in bed. Black cats are often overlooked at the shelter, but they have proven to have the absolute best personalities, and Darcy certainly does. He is a fabulous boy. Adopt Mr. Darcy and gain a friend for life. He has been neutered, vaccinated, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, dewormed, flea treated and microchipped. His adoption fee is $150.August 27, 2025, 11:35 pm

Story
Handsome was just 2 months old when he ran into the house I was staying at, he was being chased by coyotes and I happened to open door same time he was running by he turned and ran in. He was very feral. I bought him a tent put it in my room so he could decompress it literally to him 3 months to come out and let me pet him. Hes a one person cat very big and he is a scaredy cat indoor only no kids. He would do well with experienced cat person he needs lots of love and patience Im not in a big hurry to adopt he really needs a place he can run around as hes been living in my bedroom for 3 years he deserves better where he can have run of whole place. I prefer you own your home and he doesn’t have to move anymore hes a very clean cat as well hes not destructive I trained him with squirt bottle just have to shake it. He will go under a bed and tear up a box spring so he can hide. Other than that hes never done anything bad hes a great guy..

Story
Oliver is an extremely sweet, gentle 3 legged kitty. He was unfortunately hit by a car and suffered an injured front leg and a broken jaw. We got him the surgery and care that he needed and now he gets around just fine, jumping and playing like any other kitty. He has been neutered and has had all his vaccines, tested negative for disease and is in perfect health. The vet estimates him to be about 2 years old at the most. He happily eats canned pate style food and lives for affection. He is a beautiful cream colored boy with tan ears and a striped tail! He's got big dark eyes and has the loveliest personality. He uses his litterbox and is a good boy. He also has the cutest meow. He has lived with other cats as well as calm dogs and is friendly to everyone. He has been through a lot and deserves a loving, permanent home. (He doesn't really have any "special needs" but I'm checking that box so that people are aware he has 3 legs now so is a bit different.) A home check will need to happen for any serious inquiries. Thank you for choosing adoption!
