FEBUARY 2026
PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BELOW. IT WILL ANSWER ALL YOUR QUESTIONS. If you still have questions after, we are happy to respond through email.
It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes, and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life.
The average lifespan of a cat is 13 to 20 years. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! Rescue mama has had 3 live into their 20's. One was 8 weeks old.
JINX and her siblings (ODIE and GARFIELD) were part of a TNR project in El Monte, California. They TNRed all the adults and reached out to us to help with the kittens. So we named them after the GARFIELD movie.
Meet JINX: A Shy but Sassy Bombay Girl Looking for Her Forever Home
JINX is a beautiful, petite Bombay cat who has had a tough start in life, but she's showing every day just how resilient and lovable she truly is. This little girl may be shy at first, but once you gain her trust, you'll see just how affectionate and playful she can be.
When JINX first arrives in a new environment, she’s a little reserved and unsure, understandably, given her past experiences. She might hide or keep her distance as she takes the time to adjust. But don’t be fooled by her initial caution—once she feels safe and comfortable, she’ll quickly show you her sweet side.
One of JINX’s most endearing qualities is her love of food. While she might not immediately jump into your lap, she’ll certainly make her presence known with her loud and persistent "yelling" when she’s ready for a meal. It’s her way of letting you know that it’s time to serve up something delicious! If you're looking for a cat with personality, JINX is your girl!
Though she’s initially a bit timid, once JINX trusts you, she’ll start allowing you to give her gentle pets, though she still likes to keep a little distance. Be prepared for her to occasionally scamper off mid-petting session—that’s just JINX’s way of saying she needs her space, but don't take it personally; it’s all part of her quirky charm.
One of JINX's favorite things in the world is a good butt scratch. Once she's comfortable with you, she’ll eagerly lift her back end, giving you the perfect opportunity to give her the affection she craves. It’s a little "JINX move" that will surely bring a smile to your face!
JINX would do best in a home with a patient, experienced cat owner, ideally one who already has a confident, sweet cat to help show her the ropes. Having a furry friend around will help her continue to build her confidence and settle into her new home more easily. She’s looking for a calm, quiet environment where she can feel safe to blossom at her own pace.
In return for your patience and understanding, JINX will reward you with moments of love and loyalty. She’s a cat who thrives in a low-stress environment and will become more confident as she builds trust with her new family.
If you're willing to give JINX the time, space, and care she needs, she will become the affectionate, food-loving companion you’ve been searching for. Could you be the one to offer this sweet Bombay girl the happy, forever home she deserves?
