It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes, and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life.
The average lifespan of a cat is 13 to 20 years. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! Rescue mama has had 3 live into their 20's. One was 8 weeks old.
SIR GARETH was rescued from a HORRIBLE hoarding case in Riverside, California. We know they are all related because the horrible human woman, kept letting them mate. When the Rescue Mama found out she took action. We know for sure they are siblings.
As of APRIL 2026, 98 cats have either gone to other rescues or have been saved by us. You will know who these cats are by their names. They have all been named after the show "Once Upon A Time". Aside from the necklaces the kitties wear in their professional pictures,
Meet SIR GARETH: A Sweet, Gentle Giant in Progress
SIR GARETH is a magnificent Bombay cat who carries a presence like no other. This large and loving tomcat, with a massive head that’s perfectly proportioned to his big personality, has had quite the journey to get to where he is today. Found in a hoarding situation in Riverside County, SIR GARETH spent much of his early life surrounded by chaos, but despite this, he has blossomed into one of the sweetest and most affectionate kitties you'll ever meet.
With a coat as sleek and glossy as the night, SIR GARETH might be intimidating at first glance due to his size and strong features, but don’t let that fool you—this big guy is all heart. He’s a true love bug at his core, and there’s nothing he enjoys more than a gentle petting session. He’ll nuzzle into your hand with a softness that belies his imposing figure, showing just how gentle he truly is. However, like many cats, SIR GARETH has his boundaries, and after a few too many pets, he can become overstimulated. So, while he loves affection, be aware—if his tail starts flicking or his body language shifts, you might feel a sudden paw strike as a reminder to give him a little space.
One of SIR GARETH’s unique features is his tail—short and round, it’s almost like it was made just for him, a little stubby crown to match his larger-than-life head. This distinctive tail gives him a special charm, and he’ll often flick it with a little playful flair when he’s feeling extra confident.
Food is a big part of SIR GARETH’s life, and he’s a bit of a gourmand! He absolutely loves his meals, and whether it’s a tasty snack or a well-balanced meal, he’ll always be ready to chow down. His love for food is second only to his love of being doted on by those who care for him.
While SIR GARETH might not be reactive with other cats, he's still learning to navigate the world outside of his previous, difficult circumstances. He’s incredibly non-reactive when around others, which speaks to his calm nature and the potential for him to eventually adapt to more social environments, even if he prefers to take things at his own pace. He’s still figuring out how to fully trust the world around him, but with time, patience, and love, SIR GARETH is slowly realizing he doesn’t have to be weary of everything or everyone.
Despite his past, SIR GARETH is a true survivor. His gentle soul and affectionate nature show just how much capacity for love he has, and he deserves a home where he can continue his healing journey. SIR GARETH is a DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / BOMBAY MIX. He is about 2 years and 2 months old. He has lived with cats. He has never lived with children or dogs.
SIR GARETH is currently at our rescue in Hemet, California.
ADOPTION PROCESS:

2. Fill Out Online Form
3. Submit Online Application
4. Someone Will Call / Text to Do Phone Interview
5. Will be notified of Approved Application
6. Home Visit (WILL BE SCHEDULED)
7. Official Meet and Greet with Kitty
8. Sign Adoption Contract
9. Pay Adoption Fee (VENMO - ZELLE - PAYPAL or CASH)
10. Take the Kitty Home

The cats/kittens at a foster/rescue home, we will accommodate as much as possible. But steps 1-6 of the ADOPTION PROCESS need to be done before we do the OFFICIAL MEET and GREETS. It is easier to do the meet and greets at the locations listed below:

The crazy rescue mama will drive kitties to their new home, meet and greets, etc...once the phone interview and home check have been done. Gas donations always appreciated!

If the CAT/KITTEN is still listed (meaning here or other websites) they are still available. It does not mean they don't have other pending applications or meet and greets.
Please note: Just because you fill out an application and are approved does not obligate you to adopt the cat/kitten. If he or she is not a fit...we have plenty of other cats / kittens available for adoption.
We are a SMALL rescue based out of Hemet, California. We are all volunteers that run the rescue. If we haven't reached out....be patient.

We are NOT a government FUNDED shelter, and all our donations and adoption fees are for our rescued cats/kittens. So, we do not do DISCOUNTS.
