Story
Hi, I'm Charlie. I'm a cuddly little guy! I've had a few sets of shots, just waiting to be big enough to go get neutered and get my rabies vaccine. This is scheduled for November 25 at Spay n Save in Longwood. I am able to go home now, if you are willing to take me to my appt. Otherwise, you can pre-adopt me, and pick me up anytime on or after Nov. 29. If you are interested in meeting me, please complete an adoption application. Upon pre-approval, someone will reach out to set up a time for you to come meet me!  My adoption fee includes all of my FVRCP and Rabies shots, my neuter, my registered microchip, and a full set of medical records. You will just have to get me set up with my new vet within the first 30 days. Since kittens do best with having playmates and someone to cuddle with when our people aren't around, I will have to go to a home with other cats or kittens or even a dog (who likes cats of course).  Or you could adopt a second kitten from Second Chance, at a greatly reduced adoption fee. ##2219979##

Story
Hi! I'm Pooky Bear, I'm a sweet and cuddly guy, I get along very well with all the other cats and kittens in the kitten room, you can find me snuggling all the time. I have already had all my rounds of shots and boosters and best of all I am already neutered. It is as easy as falling in love with me and taking me to my permanent home! Heads up, I am special needs because I am FIV positive. I can live very amicably with other cats and kittens, the only thing is, I'm more susceptible to getting sick. Here at Second Chance, they help me boost my immune system by sprinkling L-Lysine on my food, so overall, I'm a pretty healthy and totally sweet guy! If you are interested in meeting me, please complete an adoption application. Upon pre-approval, someone will reach out to set up a time for you to come meet us!  In addition to all first-year shots and neuter, I come with a registered microchip and a full set of medical records.  ##2093895##

Story
Baby Gato was rescued from outside when he was small. He lived as an outdoor/indoor cat at our house, and when we moved into our condo he did not adapt well. He doesnt appreciate visitors or dogs, but is very loving and fully housebroken. He would be best suited to someone in a large home, or a home in which he can enter and leave as he pleases. He LOVES food.

Story
With a heavy heart, I’m looking to rehome my cat. I adopted him from a foster mom when he was a kitten, and everything was fine until I became pregnant. Since then, he started peeing and pooping around the house and stopped using the litter box, even though he used it perfectly before. I’ve tried to manage, but now that I have a newborn and am home alone most of the time, it’s become overwhelming. I also have another cat (10 years old) and a small dog. While he and the dog coexist fine, he has started to act aggressively toward my older cat. I think he would do best in a home where he can be the only pet and have more attention and patience than I can currently give. This decision hasn’t been easy, but for my mental well-being and his happiness, I believe it’s the right thing to do. I want to find him a loving home where he can thrive. Please reach out if you’re interested or have any advice.

***Courtesy Post*** Meet Lulu. She is a really sweet and confident lady that loves to talk. She follows you around like a shadow and enjoys belly rubs. Story
Maggie was a skeletal half-feral kitty at my sister’s begging for food. Unfortunately, she had digestive problems, threw up everything she ate; I didn’t realize until I brought her home; was why she was so skinny. 6 years later, she takes prescription dry food, a tad overweight & a healthy, sweet, indoor kitty. She doesn’t like being picked up so much but instead will sit next to you and rub against you. She’s very well mannered. If she scratches, put a post there & she gets it. Never a problem except vet visits, but what kitty likes them? Give her high places she feels safe, she’ll give you love, a low maintenance independent kitty. A week to trust you, but she’ll come purring every night and kiss your fingers in bed. I’m leaving the country and won’t stay in one place. She doesn’t do well confined, and I can’t travel with her. It breaks my heart, but she needs stability. Mature responsible home would be best. I’d help with prescription-food costs.

Story
Wazoo came to us from the Orange County Animal Shelter in July. We were looking for a young adult cat to play with our other young cat, as we have three senior cats that are too old to play with her. Wazoo was already fully grown and completely intact when OCAS caught and neutered him. A little shy at first but warms up quick. The shelter estimated he was about 2, but my vet says he is closer to 1. He is a very sweet boy when he is not around other cats. The problem is that he hunts our senior cats and has injured one of them. We have been keeping them separated with short supervised visits. However, our seniors have basically been living under the bed for the past 4 months since we got him. We have tried everything and he still wants to hunt them. It breaks my heart to re-home him, but it is not fair to my three senior cats. He is good around kids, not sure about dogs. Best for a family that does not have other cats. He is up to date on all his shots.
