Story
Oreo is a 3-year-old male Border Collie/Jindo mix who was rescued from a shelter just before he was scheduled for euthanasia. Sadly, and for unknown reasons, before finding himself abandoned and alone at the shelter, his teeth had been deliberately ground down. Amazingly and despite this, he remains a lively, energetic, and otherwise healthy dog who is remarkably intelligent, craves human interaction, and is very loyal to his guardian. Oreo has the exceptional intelligence typical of Border Collies, fully understanding various commands such as "sit," "wait," and "house." He is also deeply loyal to his guardian and has a strong capacity for forming deep bonds typical of the Jindo breed. He is truly a remarkable dog who has the capacity to grow into an even more amazing companion through continued obedience training and by establishing a trusting relationship with his guardian. Oreo is incredibly affectionate and loves people. He is also very social and gets along well with other dogs. However, he has a habit of jumping when excited, which requires caution when a person is interacting with him in a low position. With consistent training, this behavior can be corrected. Being highly energetic, Oreo possesses excellent jumping ability. At the training center, he has been known to leap over fences—not out of a desire to escape, but due to his curiosity and strong attachment to his guardian. In fact, he has demonstrated behavior where he jumps over a fence when he hears his guardian's voice outside, only to return shortly after. For this reason, families with yards should ensure proper supervision, and a high-fenced environment may be more suitable. The Ideal Family for Oreo is: ✔️ Someone who understands the high intelligence and energy levels of Border Collies, the exceptional loyalty of Jindos, and can provide sufficient mental and physical stimulation ✔️ Someone with experience in training or handling large dogs ✔️ Someone who values bonding with their dog and is ready to build a deep connection ✔️ Someone who can provide ample space for Oreo to move and exercise freely Despite his heartbreaking past, Oreo still loves people and finds his greatest happiness in being with his guardian. With so much intelligence and energy, he has limitless potential to become the perfect lifelong companion if he meets the right family, one that understands him and is ready to provide him with love, care, and proper training. Oreo is waiting for his new family! ❤️

Age: 1 yearWeight: 17.4 kg/ 38.4lbsA little bit about Peep:- Unknown history with children. All interactions should be carefully supervised by an adult.- Unknown history with cats or small animals. All introductions should be done slowly over multiple sessions and carefully supervised.- dogs unknown, potential for select other dog in home pending successful dog-to-dogMeet Peep! This one-year-old pup is full of energy and enthusiasm and is still learning how to navigate the big, exciting world. Peep is a social butterfly with people—she greets new friends eagerly and seeks out attention right away. While she can be a little unsure in new situations, she’s starting to show signs of settling and becoming more comfortable as she gets to know her surroundings.Peep is a high-energy dog who’s still figuring out how to channel that excitement in appropriate ways. She’s playful and curious but may lose interest in toys quickly and sometimes gets frustrated when she doesn’t know what to do—especially if she feels ignored. Thanks to her smarts (and love of treats!), Peep is learning new things every day, including how to walk nicely on a harness. She’ll benefit from an adopter with a gentle, patient approach and a commitment to ongoing positive-reinforcement training. With time, structure, and love, Peep has the potential to grow into a confident, loyal companion.

Story
📍 Location: Taber, Alberta 📅 Age: 2 Years ⚖️ Size: Medium ⚡ Energy Level: High 🐶 Dogs: Yes 🐱 Cats: NO 👶 Kids: YES 🩺 Vetting Included: Spayed, Vaccined, Microchipped Meet Journey – your future partner-in-adventure! Hi, I’m Journey—a fun-loving, spirited girl who’s ready to start the next chapter of her life with a family who’s as excited about adventure as I am! Since arriving in foster care, I’ve grown in confidence and joy, and I’m so ready to find my forever home. I’m a high-energy pup who lives for playtime, whether it's a game of tug, fetch in the backyard, or a hike through the trees. Toys are my absolute favorite—especially the ones I can chew, toss, or chase! I may be a little shy when meeting new people at first, but once I feel safe, my curious, goofy, and affectionate side comes out in full force. I love to cuddle on the couch with my people, and once you’ve earned my trust, get ready for endless kisses and snuggles—I'm a total lovebug. Smart cookie alert! I know all the basics like sit, down, shake a paw, and even have a bit of sass with my “talk back” trick. Right now, I’m working on “stay” and “place,” and I love learning new things—especially when tasty treats are involved. I’m crate trained (my cozy den is my happy place), sleep through the night, and have great recall. I also walk nicely on leash and would love to explore the world with you. I do need a home with another playful, confident dog—having a buddy helps me feel secure and brings out my best self. I’m not suited for homes with cats or small animals, though—I get a bit too excited around them and don’t quite know how to settle. I’m house trained but still appreciate frequent potty breaks while I’m loose in the house. If you're looking for a bright, loyal, and playful pup who’s ready to fill your life with laughter, love, and adventures—look no further. Let’s start this journey together! Click "apply to adopt" to complete an application and one of our team leads will be in touch via email to arrange a phone within a few business days.
