Story
Oreo is a 3-year-old male Border Collie/Jindo mix who was rescued from a shelter just before he was scheduled for euthanasia. Sadly, and for unknown reasons, before finding himself abandoned and alone at the shelter, his teeth had been deliberately ground down. Amazingly and despite this, he remains a lively, energetic, and otherwise healthy dog who is remarkably intelligent, craves human interaction, and is very loyal to his guardian. Oreo has the exceptional intelligence typical of Border Collies, fully understanding various commands such as "sit," "wait," and "house." He is also deeply loyal to his guardian and has a strong capacity for forming deep bonds typical of the Jindo breed. He is truly a remarkable dog who has the capacity to grow into an even more amazing companion through continued obedience training and by establishing a trusting relationship with his guardian. Oreo is incredibly affectionate and loves people. He is also very social and gets along well with other dogs. However, he has a habit of jumping when excited, which requires caution when a person is interacting with him in a low position. With consistent training, this behavior can be corrected. Being highly energetic, Oreo possesses excellent jumping ability. At the training center, he has been known to leap over fences—not out of a desire to escape, but due to his curiosity and strong attachment to his guardian. In fact, he has demonstrated behavior where he jumps over a fence when he hears his guardian's voice outside, only to return shortly after. For this reason, families with yards should ensure proper supervision, and a high-fenced environment may be more suitable. The Ideal Family for Oreo is: ✔️ Someone who understands the high intelligence and energy levels of Border Collies, the exceptional loyalty of Jindos, and can provide sufficient mental and physical stimulation ✔️ Someone with experience in training or handling large dogs ✔️ Someone who values bonding with their dog and is ready to build a deep connection ✔️ Someone who can provide ample space for Oreo to move and exercise freely Despite his heartbreaking past, Oreo still loves people and finds his greatest happiness in being with his guardian. With so much intelligence and energy, he has limitless potential to become the perfect lifelong companion if he meets the right family, one that understands him and is ready to provide him with love, care, and proper training. Oreo is waiting for his new family! ❤️

Story
Currently in a toronto foster home I might be a mix, but I’ve got the best of both worlds — the smarts of a Border Collie and the focus of a Jindo. I’m clever, full of energy, and once I love you, I love you with all my heart. I was born in an old abandoned house, far from people and care. But when I was just 3 months old, kind humans rescued me and brought me to a warm, safe foster home. That’s where I spent the first 2 years of my life, learning what it means to be loved and to live indoors. Due to some changes in my foster family’s life, I had to move to a training center. At first, everything was unfamiliar and a little scary… but I surprised everyone by adjusting quickly! Now I get along great with the trainers, and I love learning new things. I’m really good at understanding people — not just their words, but their feelings too. When I meet someone new, I might hesitate for a moment. But give me a little time and kindness, and you’ll see the real me — sweet, affectionate, and even a little silly. I also get along well with other dogs and know how to play nicely without causing trouble. I love walks and being outdoors, and I’m happiest when I can explore the world with someone I trust. After some fun and exercise, I’m more than happy to relax quietly at home. I’ve got a calm, sensitive side too. I’ve spent most of my life around women, so I might be a bit shy around men at first. But please don’t worry — with patience and gentle care, I’ll come closer, lean in, and show you how much love I have to give. What I’m really looking for is someone who’s ready to build a bond — who’ll walk with me, talk with me, and understand that trust takes time but grows deep. If that sounds like you, I think we could be a perfect match. I’m ready to give my heart. Are you ready to be my forever family? 💛 Love, Dior

Story
Location: Irvine, AB (Medicine Hat area) // Energy Level: Medium // Size: 35lbs // Breed: Border Collie Mix // Dogs: Yes please! // Cats: Yes // Kids: Older dog savvy kids only please // Meet Jefferey — the little miracle with the gentle soul. Once upon a time, a tiny puppy named Jefferey was found all alone in a ditch, too weak to move and unable to see the world around him. But with love, care, and a whole lot of determination, Jefferey slowly found his way back — his legs got strong, his eyes brightened, and his spirit came alive. Today, he’s a happy, healthy boy who reminds everyone that even the smallest spark can grow into something amazing. ✨ Jefferey is a Border Collie mix, but don’t let that breed fool you — he’s got the zen soul of a golden retriever. He loves to romp around the yard with his dog friends and chase toys for a bit, but he’s just as happy to curl up and relax next to you. His energy level is gentle, his manners are lovely, and his “baby shark” air-chomps will make you laugh every time. 🦈💨 He’s crate trained, house trained (with a little help from routine reminders!), and travels like a pro in the car. Jefferey can be shy at first, especially with new people or quick movements, but he’s slowly learning that the world is full of kindness. He does best when given space, patience, and reassurance — and he truly shines when he has another friendly dog to help him feel safe and show him the ropes. Jefferey gets along beautifully with dogs and cats, and would do best in a calm home with older, dog-savvy kids (the little ones can be a bit scary for him). He may also have a touch of poor night vision, so he appreciates soft lighting and a cozy bedtime routine. 💛 Jefferey’s dream home: gentle voices, patient hearts, and maybe a confident dog buddy to guide him. In return, he’ll bring endless sweetness, quiet love, and a story of resilience you’ll never forget. Could you be the one to give this brave little survivor his happily ever after? Story
This sweet, one-year-old Pit Bull/Lab mix is looking for a fresh start with someone who understands that love and patience go a long way. Undersocialized and fearful, this pup likely didn’t have the best start in life, but there’s a gentle spirit underneath the uncertainty. An experienced, adult-only home would be the best fit—someone willing to work at the dog’s pace and commit to private training to help build confidence and trust. With the right support, this young dog has the potential to grow into a loyal and loving companion.Size: Medium 20.7kg/45.5lbsChildren: Adult Only home pleaseDogs: May do best with dogs of similar size and playstyleCats: Slow introductions to cats recommended

Story
Age: 2 yearsWeight: 30.8 kgA bit about Thornton:- no children in home- no cats in home- no dogs in home- history of separation stressMeet Thornton! He`s a sweet guy with a gentle face and if you think you can ignore him, think again! He`ll whine sadly at you until you come say hi! We have limited history about Thornton and are looking for a home with no other pets or kids. (This cutie wants to be your only baby!) but he`ll be sure to give you all the cuddles and adventures you need, all by himself! Thornton is house trained and has great leash manners (although he does get excited when he sees birds!) He does have a history of separation related stress and will benefit from a human who works from home, or is otherwise able to introduce absences slowly. If you`ve fallen for this cute face like we have, visit him at Calgary Humane soon!

Story
Hi, I'm Reece! I'm just a puppy, but I've got a heart full of love and a body full of energy! I'm always ready to play a game of fetch or chase my tail around. I'm a bit goofy at times, but that's part of my charm. I love making my friends laugh with my silly antics. I'm very friendly, too. I enjoy meeting new people and making new friends. I can't wait to find my forever home where I can share all my love and energy. Adopting me means endless fun and laughter, a loyal companion, and a best friend for life! I am looking for a foster home
