Good with dogs,
Story
Hi, I’m Misty 💛 I’m a 3-year-old girl, a Border Collie–Samoyed mix, and I weigh about 17kg. People often notice my soft, fluffy coat first… but my favorite little charm? One of my ears folds slightly—it’s my special signature look 😊 I was rescued from a shelter where my time was almost up, but you wouldn’t know it if you met me. I’m bright, happy, and full of love. I really love people. Even if we’ve just met, I’ll come right up to you like we’ve known each other forever. I love attention, I love affection, and I love sharing little moments together. I’m also great with other dogs! I get along well with my furry friends and don’t like conflict—I’d much rather play and enjoy good company. If you like going on walks or playing together, I’ll be so happy. And after we’ve had our fun? I’m just as happy to rest quietly by your side. I have a nice balance of energy—I can be active, but I also know how to relax at home. I’m still learning what it means to live in a home. Things like potty habits and house rules might be new to me, but I’m a smart girl (that Border Collie side of me helps!), and I learn quickly when someone is patient and consistent with me. I don’t need perfection. I don’t need everything to be ready from the start. I just need someone who will understand me, teach me gently, and stay by my side as I learn. Because I’m already ready to love you. All I’m waiting for… is a family who will love me back, and give me a place to finally belong. Will you be family? 💛

Story
Hazy is a friendly, enthusiastic girl who eagerly greets new people with a joyful, wagging tail! It`s never long after meeting someone before Hazy is eagerly seeking some scritches, or coaxing you to join her in a game of fetch! She has a herding breed background, so she can be a little jumpy and nippy when she`s looking for attention. She would thrive in a home where these instincts can be channeled into fun games and mental enrichment, like scentwork, agility or treibball! Like many young dogs, she’s still learning about the world and will benefit from continued positive reinforcement training to help her build great manners and confidence as she grows.Hazy has a history of resource guarding (protecting food and toys), so her future family should be prepared to manage this behaviour and support her using force free training methods to help her build trust in her new home. The shelter team will be here to support her as you work on this behaviour together. Hazy`s joyful, affectionate personality, intelligence, energy and eagerness to learn means she will make a wonderful dog for an adopter interested in progressing beyond basic training, or providing her with lots of mental enrichment and attention. Visit Hazy at Calgary Humane today to fall in love!Hazy is:- no kids - no cats or small animals.- no dogs
