Story
Echo is a sweet border collie mix who is about 1 year old. We adopted her from our local humane society and were unaware she was deaf until after we brought her home. We have done private training and she knows many hand signals. She is house broken and crate trained. She is progressing with walking on a leash, but is reactive to movement, as many herding dogs are. She struggles with resource guarding around food, which has been quite difficult with our young children, and is the reason we have made the difficult decision to re-home. Echo is a smart and very quick learner. She loves to play with her flirt pole and go for hikes. She would make an excellent companion in a home that is child-free and experienced. We will send her crate, harness, and beloved toys with her.

She is GREAT with other dogs and would really thrive in a home with another energetic dog. Ember is the kind of dog that needs daily enrichment & mental work, or even a job, to remain content. Without this, she will get bored! She is working on her leash skills & potty training, but with your help, she'll get there in no time! Come meet her at High Country Humane, located at 11665 N. Highway 89, Flagstaff, AZ 86004. Our shelter is open Thursday–Tuesday, 11 am–5 pm, and closed on Wednesdays.

💖 Meet Donna – The Best Girl, Through and Through! 💖 Donna is truly something special, bright, affectionate, and full of joyful energy. She came to us as a stray, but her loving heart and eager-to-learn spirit shine every single day. Her foster says she’s been an absolute dream at home. Donna is fully potty trained, uses the doggie door like a champ, and is doing great with her kennel routine. She walks nicely on a leash and typically ignores other dogs out and about. Inside the home, she’s wonderful with guests and strangers, she happily trots over for pets and attention. Donna adores other dogs and loves playing with her foster brother, Durango, but she’s also respectful and knows when to give another dog space. She’s smart, picks up new skills quickly, and is already working on going into her kennel on command. This sweet girl is the perfect blend of calm cuddle buddy and happy-go-lucky goofball. She loves car rides, has a quirky wall-scraping walk that makes her foster laugh every time, and brings so much joy to everyone she meets.
