Story
Hi! Blue is a loving, sweet boy. He is 100% blue heeler, and would thrive with someone who has experience with this breed or could use him as a working dog. He has herding tendencies which means he is very loyal to his humans but would do best in a house without young children running around. He likes most other dogs he meets, but could use some training here as well. Blue just needs extra time and attention that we cannot give him at this time. We would love it if Blue could thrive in his new home!

Story
Sucia, Suci for short (pronounced "Sue-C-ah", but she is open to being renamed). We rescued her from the Wind River Reservation in Wyoming almost 10 years ago. She walks well on a leash and has good recall. She loves to play frisbee or fetch sticks in shallow water. She got along well with our older dog and gets on with some other dogs once she gets to know them, but can be anxious and agreesive during initial introductions. She likes to snuggle, knows which furniture to stay off of. She is a 10 year-old, healthy, female ACD mix with a history of anxiety and has bitten our toddler twice now. She needs to be rehomed, but we are not having any luck despite trying for the past 6 months. Shelters won't take her because of the bite history and no one seems to want to adopt her. We made an appointment for euthanasia with our vet, but brought Suci back home to try some new anxiety meds and to make last attempts at rehoming. Can you help Suci?

Story
Hi! My name's Leuppy. Yeah, it's kinda weird, I know, but that's the area I was found in - Leupp, Arizona! Sorry if I seem a bit, well, shy. I've had a bit of a tough time, you see. I've never really had a home to call my own. I'm really hoping to find a family that understands me. You know, someone who can give me the time and space I need to figure things out. I'm not asking for much, just a little patience and love. Crowds and loud noises are not my favorite, but I have made a lot of progress since being in Foster Care and even enjoy going downtown to a local, dog friendly bar. A quiet home would be nice, and I would definitely enjoy a yard. I absolutely love the snow and making snow angels! My caregivers say I'm good on a leash, and I love treats! So, I'm pretty motivated when it comes to learning new things. Oh, and I LOVE other dogs, But maybe we could meet them first, just to be sure we get along? One more thing. Small children. They kind of make me nervous. So, maybe it's best if I don't live with them. But give me some time, and I promise I'll become the best friend you've ever had. My adoption fee has been fully sponsored for being such a sweetheart! Come by High Country Humane to meet me! Adopting with High Country Humane means your new pet is fixed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. We register that microchip (FREE!) and provide a free health exam with each adoption. Please bring a leash and collar for your new pet or plan to purchase a set at the shelter for $5 each. The shelter is open 11-5 PM, 7 days a week. We look forward to seeing you!

I'm looking for my best bud for life! Is that you? My name is Wiggles! I'm a dreamy pooch and I have expressive ears that can't hide what I'm thinking! I'm ready for endless adventures, playtime, and naps in my very own bed. But first, I need to meet my new best friend. Is that you? Staff says I love my dog buddies and I would do best in a home with other dogs, bring yours in to meet me! I love snacks and being active! I can't wait to see you! I love being active and going on adventures, but I also have a quiet and affectionate side. "Rocky: The Lovable Deaf Dog with a Big Heart"Hi there, humans! My name is Rocky and I'm an 8-month-old Australian Cattle Dog mix. Don't let my deafness fool you, I'm just as paw-some as any other dog out there! I may need some special training, but I'm a quick learner and eager to please my humans.I may be petite at just 36 pounds, but my energy level is off the charts! I love hikes, playing at the park, and doing zoomies until I'm all tuckered out. I'm definitely not a couch potato, so I need an active family to keep up with me.I'm an outgoing and friendly boy, always ready to make new friends. I'm a total people-pleaser, so I'll do my best to make you smile and give you all the love and cuddles you need. My black and white spots make me quite the striking pup, if I do say so myself.I'm currently working on learning sign language with the help of the awesome volunteers and staff here, and I'll need a patient and loving family to continue my training. But trust me, I'm worth the extra effort! I'm also potty-trained already, so that's one less thing you need to worry about!I get along well with my furry friends, so a home with another dog would be just fine as long as I can meet them beforehand. I have a quirky and clever personality, and I'll keep you entertained all day long with my playful antics. So what do you say, humans? Want to meet me and see if I'm the perfect addition to your family? Come visit me at the shelter and let's get to know each other! If you are interested in me, please give my friends at The Humane Society of Sedona a call. I can't wait to meet you! Major Are you looking for a buddy who is ready for some MAJOR fun this summer? I think I am the guy you have been looking for! I think I just celebrated my first birthday as a bonafide, young Cattle Dog mix. (I am still waiting on my bowtie though).I have some young guy energy but I will happily spend it trying to figure out how to be your forever fella. I think I love all weekend activities, even if I haven't done them yet. Long walks? Hiking and creek stomping? Chill night on a patio? You betcha, those all sound like a dream!Sometimes I am selective about these new dogs around me but I am told I just need some basic training and a steady spot to live. No need to swipe right just swing on by the shelter to see me! They don't know much more about me and where I was before but it doesn't matter, I am ready to start in a whole new world with you! If you are interested in me, please give my friends at The Humane Society of Sedona a call. I can't wait to meet you! I am fixed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and ready to go home with you, so please come visit me!Please call between 10am-4pm to schedule an appointment to meet one of our animals! 928-282-4679.

Story
Ziggy is 4 years old and neutered. He is the absolute sweetest and smartest guy. He knows his commands: sit, stay, come, shake hands, lay down, go potty etc. He is potty trained and crate trained. He ideally needs a home with no other pets or one with ample room to run around and someone who can work with him to be stimulated daily. He lived with a larger 5 year old dog who was very dominant and they did get into scraps here and there. There was one instance where the larger dog did break his skin on the snout, but was not a serious injury. He has never bitten anyone. He is a little bored and overweight, and needs a home with plenty of space and mental stimulation. He loves car rides and walks, but needs to be leash trained. This is my old roommates dog. He has to move into a one bedroom apartment where there is no room for ziggy. I would take him if I could because I absolutely LOVE him, but there is no way I can and it just breaks my heart!
