I’m full of puppy energy and ready to learn! Training is up to my new family, and I’m excited to master things like potty training, basic commands, and socializing. Personality Snapshot: Playful, loving, cuddly, energetic, smart, a bit pushy Willie is a goofy, playful puppy who gets excited about anything and everything he can be a part of. He is a happy boy who loves pets and cuddles from everyone and would truly like to be a lap dog. He is smart, eager to please, and took to training right away, even without treats. Willie loves other dogs and has a blast playing with them. He can be a bit pushy in his play style, which can bother some dogs, but he never seemed bothered and simply needs more socialization to help him learn boundaries. He could definitely live with other dogs and seems very adjustable overall. He has not been tested with cats. When left alone, Willie may whine or bark briefly before settling. Some of his extra energy and restlessness is likely due to shelter stress and his age. He sometimes struggles to settle down when it is time to rest, but giving him a chew treat helped him relax. He comes across as an over-active puppy who will benefit from consistent routine and outlets for his energy. On leash, Willie did amazing. He showed no reactivity except when very close to dogs playing in the yard, and even then it was just excitement. He was easy to redirect and handled distractions well. He also tolerated handling wonderfully and enjoyed all the attention. Ideal Home: Just about any home. Willie is loving, playful, and very people oriented. With a bit of guidance on settling and continued socialization, he will be a wonderful companion. Willie was a pleasure to spend time with and is ready to bring joy, fun, and a whole lot of cuddles to his new family. Come meet Willie at High Country Humane, located at 11665 N. She came to us as a stray, but her loving heart and eager-to-learn spirit shine every single day. Her foster says she’s been an absolute dream at home. Donna is fully potty trained, uses the doggie door like a champ, and is doing great with her kennel routine. She walks nicely on a leash and typically ignores other dogs out and about. Inside the home, she’s wonderful with guests and strangers — she happily trots over for pets and attention. Donna adores other dogs and loves playing with her foster brother, Durango, but she’s also respectful and knows when to give another dog space. She’s smart, picks up new skills quickly, and is already working on going into her kennel on command. This sweet girl is the perfect blend of calm cuddle buddy and happy-go-lucky goofball. 🍩 Sweet Treats Need Foster Homes! 🍩 We’ve just welcomed 12 precious 4-week-old puppies who were sadly abandoned in a box at the Tonalea Chapter House. 💔 Despite their rough start, these little ones are healthy, happy, and eating well! Each pup has a name as sweet as their face — meet Sprinkles, Mochi, Long John, Jelly, Glaze, Cruller, Cinnamon Twist, Cider, Chocolate Cake, Boston Creme, Beignet, and Apple Fritter! 🐶✨ They’ll need fosters in pairs for about 4 weeks while they grow strong and get ready for adoption. Puppies this age need a bit of extra care — dry food and water available at all times, plus meals 4–5 times a day of softened dry food mixed with wet. Don’t worry — High Country Humane provides all food, supplies, and medical care!
