Story
Hello Sedona,My name is Cooper. I am a dog bursting with life, enthusiasm and I absolutely have great love for adventures! I am energetic and I would benefit from some training to help channel all my wonderful energy in the right direction. I would thrive best as the only animal in the home, where I can soak up all the attention and build a strong bond with my person. I will need a consistent adopter who can provide structure, training and plenty of daily activity. With commitment and love, I have all the potential to become an amazing, well-rounded canine companion!I am neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on vaccines.

Juniper is a sweet, friendly tripod with a big personality and plenty of energy. She shows strong Border Collie traits - smart, eager to please, and ready to work. Juniper would benefit from regular exercise and continued training to help her thrive. She doesn’t let having three legs slow her down one bit!

Story
Calling all of our border collie lovers! Meet Billy Jack — a bright, bold Border Collie with a big personality and an even bigger heart. Billy Jack is very outgoing and absolutely loves attention. If you’re looking for a dog who wants to be involved in everything you do, he’s your guy. He’s extremely smart and curious, always observing, learning, and figuring things out (sometimes faster than you expect!). True to his breed, Billy Jack will bond quickly and deeply with his person and thrive in a home where he gets mental stimulation, structure, and plenty of interaction. A few important notes: Billy Jack is not good with cats, so he’ll need a cat-free home. As a highly intelligent Border Collie, he’ll do best with an adopter who understands and loves the breed and is ready to provide training, enrichment, and exercise. If you’re ready for a loyal, affectionate, brainy companion who will be your shadow and your teammate, Billy Jack is ready to meet you. Our adoption fee helps cover expenses (vaccinations, microchips, spay/neuter, food, housing) for the homeless pets we rescue. UAF does not adopt or ship outside the state of Arizona. To ensure the best fit, UAF conducts a home visit to meet other pets and verify a safe, secure yard. If you have any questions or to adopt a dog an application must submitted. Filling out this form does not obligate you to adopt, but gives us the information needed to make sure the pet is suited to your home. HOW TO APPLY: From Petfinder.com The fastest way to get to the adoptable dog page is to copy and then paste this link into your browser: https://unitedanimalfriends.org/adoptable-dogs/ When you are on the UAF website Select "Adoptable Dogs" and pick the dog you are interested in. To apply to adopt, go into the dog's profile, and click the gray "Apply for Adoption" button to get started. You could be a life saver! Help us save more lives by fostering a dog or cat. Story
I am Buckley, a handsome, friendly, funny and passionate, two-year-old cattle dog mix and I have been at the shelter since April 2025. I am excited to tell you all about my day hiking with a volunteer friend of mine! I had such a wonderful time when we got to the trail head, and I impressed everyone with my calm manners and politely sat to the side and waited for a treat while letting other dogs` pass. I saw hikers with their dogs and had no reaction to anyone as it was so glorious to be free in the sunshine and fresh Sedona air among the cactus plants. My wonderful day out ended with belly rubs, loves and relaxation. Time away from the shelter helped to build my confidence and let my intelligence, true spirit, and patience shine brightly. I am big on personality, and my calming brown eyes look right through people when I am happy as I was on my hike!I respond to directions, love being around people and I am a quick learner. I would thrive in a home where I get to exercise and have your attention and encouragement along with lots of belly rubs. We could enjoy nice walks for sure and with my friendly nature and loyal spirit, I will quickly be your super best buddy in no time at all. With a little patience and consistency, I am going to make an incredible companion. I am ready for my next hiking adventure – could it be on a walk with you? I am potty trained, neutered, microchipped and up-to date on my vaccines.Contact the fun people at the Humane Society of Sedona at: 928.282.4679 any day of the week 10am-4pm; excluding major holidays and spend time with me sharing some joy. Bring the kids too!
