Story
Meet Charlie, he is a 9 month old shepherd/cattle dog mix and weighs 60 pounds. Charlie is a sweet sensitive dog with nice house manners and his energy level can be pretty mellow for such a young fella. He's housebroken and crate trained. His current living situation is in a foster home with other dogs and a cat. He is more of a stay at home and enjoying walks around the neighborhood dog rather than going out to loud noisy places. Charlie loves to play with toys and is learning to bring back the ball when thrown. He can be shy when first meeting new people and takes some time to warm up to them. Small children are scary to him so a home with older kids is recommended. He would be happiest in a home with another dog of similar size, providing him with the companionship and playtime he needs. Are you ready to open your heart and home to this incredible pup? Charlie is waiting to become your loyal, loving, and endlessly entertaining new family member. Give him the chance he deserves, and you'll experience the joy of a furry friend who's always up for fun and adventure. Contact us today to arrange a meeting with Charlie, and let the journey to a lifelong friendship begin. Don't miss out on the chance to make Charlie a part of your life! Story
"Meet Comet, the Playful and Affectionate Puppy Looking for His Forever Family!"Hi there, my name is Comet and I am a 6-month-old Australian Cattle Dog mix. I may be young, but I already weigh a solid 54 pounds! My scruffy terrier hair and cute cattle dog mix. My freckles make me quite the handsome fella, or so I've been told.I was surrendered to the shelter as a tiny 3-month-old with my two siblings, and we were all lucky enough to be adopted. Sadly, I was recently returned due to landlord issues, so now I am patiently waiting for my forever family to come and scoop me up.I am house trained and have lots of puppy energy, so I hope you're ready for some playtime! I love being active and going on adventures, but I also have a quiet and affectionate side. My favorite thing is to be your best friend and learn all the tricks you can teach me.I may be a bit shy at first, but once I'm comfortable, you won't be able to resist my boundless love and playful nature. I'm a people pleaser and would love to meet any potential dog friends before going home with them.If you're looking for a devoted and happy companion who will fill your days with love and laughter, I am your guy! Come meet me and see for yourself just how special I am. I can't wait to find my perfect match and be part of a loving family. So what are you waiting for? Story
"Rocky: The Lovable Deaf Dog with a Big Heart"Hi there, humans! My name is Rocky and I'm an 8-month-old Australian Cattle Dog mix. Don't let my deafness fool you, I'm just as paw-some as any other dog out there! I may need some special training, but I'm a quick learner and eager to please my humans.I may be petite at just 36 pounds, but my energy level is off the charts! I love hikes, playing at the park, and doing zoomies until I'm all tuckered out. I'm definitely not a couch potato, so I need an active family to keep up with me.I'm an outgoing and friendly boy, always ready to make new friends. I'm a total people-pleaser, so I'll do my best to make you smile and give you all the love and cuddles you need. My black and white spots make me quite the striking pup, if I do say so myself.I'm currently working on learning sign language with the help of the awesome volunteers and staff here, and I'll need a patient and loving family to continue my training. But trust me, I'm worth the extra effort! I'm also potty-trained already, so that's one less thing you need to worry about!I get along well with my furry friends, so a home with another dog would be just fine as long as I can meet them beforehand. I have a quirky and clever personality, and I'll keep you entertained all day long with my playful antics. So what do you say, humans? Want to meet me and see if I'm the perfect addition to your family? Come visit me at the shelter and let's get to know each other! If you are interested in me, please give my friends at The Humane Society of Sedona a call. I can't wait to meet you! Story
Major Are you looking for a buddy who is ready for some MAJOR fun this summer? I think I am the guy you have been looking for! I think I just celebrated my first birthday as a bonafide, young Cattle Dog mix. (I am still waiting on my bowtie though).I have some young guy energy but I will happily spend it trying to figure out how to be your forever fella. I think I love all weekend activities, even if I haven't done them yet. Long walks? Hiking and creek stomping? Chill night on a patio? You betcha, those all sound like a dream!Sometimes I am selective about these new dogs around me but I am told I just need some basic training and a steady spot to live. No need to swipe right just swing on by the shelter to see me! They don't know much more about me and where I was before but it doesn't matter, I am ready to start in a whole new world with you! If you are interested in me, please give my friends at The Humane Society of Sedona a call. I can't wait to meet you! I am fixed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and ready to go home with you, so please come visit me!Please call between 10am-4pm to schedule an appointment to meet one of our animals! 928-282-4679.
