Story
She showed up on my front lawn in the summer of 2025. We posted on the lost pet pages, but no one has claimed her. She didn't have an microchip but does now. We are fostering her, and we would like to find her a home. We already have 4 dogs and can't keep her. Here's what we know about her: ~ border collie mix.~ about a year old. ~ had her first round of shots.~ has been spayed.~ likes playing with my dogs.~ likes to cuddle.~ enjoys going on walks. When she arrived, she took a few days to warm up to us. If you want to adopt her, please understand that it will take a few days to earn her trust. If someone interested in this sweet girl, please reach out. I'm happy to answer any questions.

Story
Border Collie female puppyClover and her sister Ivy are about 5 months old Border Collie pups. They were found in an RV, at an encampment for the homeless in Hemmet, CA. A local, who helps these folks and their animals, reached out, she had nowhere for them to go. But we did. The girls are here, stretching their legs! That's new for them! They are learning to walk on a leash, and are great off leash.  They get along great with other dogs and love to play.  They are both totally nice dogs.  Someone had been treating them well. Clover is up to date on vaccinations and is chipped.  She will be spayed before being adopted out or will go home on a spay contract. Clover is in Templeton, CA More photos, video, and updates:  https://www.facebook.com/www.cchdrescue.org/  search in posts and photo albums. Story
Border Collie/Cattle dog mix, femaleHigh-drive, herding dog savvy folks…have we got the dog for you! Sofi, the 2 year old border collie mix, is looking for the right fit. She’s 35lbs, runs on high octane, and with the proper training would make an incredible working dog or competitive sport dog. She is extremely toy motivated and has a serious desire to work. Sofi has a unique disposition that cannot quite be captured in words. She is an energy reader and tends to gravitate toward calm and collected. Not too much pressure upon initial greeting and within 24 hours she’ll be begging for pets and is about as Velcro as they come. She is incredibly affectionate once she lets you into her world, but sensitive to certain types of handling. She is unbothered by loud noises or machinery (fireworks no problem). Sofi would thrive in a home with another canine companion or two. She does okay with confident, dog-savvy cats that won’t hesitate to hold their ground, but no runners…she’ll chase. She ADORES kids. She is potty trained. Not a fan of the crate (so needs work in this department if planning to utilize). She is potty trained. Loves riding in the car and will load / unload willingly.  Sofi is packed with potential for the right person - someone that understands her drive and associated quirks. Sofi is spayed, chipped, and up to date on vaccinations.  Sofi is in Watsonville, CA until Thursday 4/23 and then it’s back to the San Luis Obispo area More photos and updates:  https://www.facebook.com/www.cchdrescue.org/  search in posts and photo albums. Story
Border Collie maleWelcome Piccolo from Stanislaus Animal Services!  Piccolo was listed by the shelter as 2 years of age, but our trusty foster who happens to be a veterinarian thinks he’s quite a bit younger. He’s 60lbs. Piccolo is ready for a home…one that is training focused and can handle the equivalent of a bull in a china shop. This guy is big, bouncy, and jovial. His vibe, love you to death. He’s dog social and a big time player so resident dogs buckle up. Cats, critters, livestock unknown at this time. He did sleep soundly in a crate overnight, not a peep. Piccolo is microchipped, neutered, and UTD on vaccines. Piccolo is in Templeton, Ca More photos and updates:  https://www.facebook.com/www.cchdrescue.org/  search in posts and photo albums.
