Story
Border Collie mix, female puppySNICKERDOODLE is a 9 mo/38lb female Border Collie, cute as a button and still has her silly puppy side! As you may expect with any Border Collie, Snickerdoodle is super smart, can be timid/shy at first, but will warm up to new people once she knows you. Snickerdoodle is at the perfect age to adopt as she’s  gotten through the most challenging parts of puppyhood and is ready for her person to continue her training and socialization. Snickerdoodle is house trained, leash trained, and crate trained. She likes to stick by her human's side, and definitely has that border collie drive and eagerness to please. Very affectionate and a happy girl, she does the cutest little dance when she’s excited! She’s treat motivated and loves to learn (great for training!) Snickerdoodle needs a herding dog savvy home without young children, someone with the time and energy to train and socialize a young herding dog, and someone who is looking for a lifelong companion. She would do well in a home with or without other dogs, she’s used to big dogs from her foster home and is not afraid to play with them! While her reaction to cats is unknown, she hasn’t shown a high prey drive and could possibly cohabitate with a cat given proper introductions and training. Snickerdoodle is spayed, chipped, and up to date on vaccinations, and is currently being fostered in Bakersfield. Snickerdoodle is ready for her new home!    More photos: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.1139935870301399&type=3   If you are interested in Snickerdoodle, please fill out an application at: bit.ly/CCHDR_App    July 24, 2024, 6:03 pm

Story
Border Collie mix, male puppyFIGGY is a gorgeous 8 mo/55lb male Border Collie puppy. He’s neutered, chipped, and up to date on vaccines. He’s ready for his forever home. As you may expect with any Border Collie, he is intelligent, sweet and friendly. He’s a touch apprehensive until he gets used to you, but he is well-adjusted and a very good boy. Figgy has been in foster since he was five weeks old. He’s the perfect age to adopt as he’s gotten through the most challenging parts of puppyhood, but he’s still young and impressionable. Figgy is crate trained, house trained (but still a puppy, so he needs carefully watching for cues that he needs to go out) and walks well on a leash. He likes to stick by his human’s side, and definitely has that border collie drive and eagerness to please. He walks himself back into his crate on command. Very treat motivated and loves to learn (great for training!). Hasn’t been tested with cats, but is very dog friendly. He needs a herding dog savvy home without young children, someone with the time and energy to train and socialize a young puppy, and who is looking for a lifelong companion. He would do well in a house with or without other dogs, but he’d do best in a house with dogs 30lbs+. Figgy is being fostered in Bakersfield.
