I've already been through so much. I recently raised six beautiful puppies, and now that they're growing up, it's finally my turn to find a family of my very own. I'm already trained, patient, and have wonderful manners. I get along great with other dogs and love being around people, making me a perfect addition to almost any family. My favorite things are the simple ones—going for walks, riding in the car with the windows cracked, curling up for a cozy nap, or just hanging out by your side while you go about your day. I'm happiest just being with the people I love.  All I'm looking for now is a forever home where I'll be loved as much as I've loved everyone else. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a gentle heart and so much love to give, I might just be the missing piece of your family.  Could that family be yours? ❤️Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 23, 2026, 8:34 am

Hi there! I'm Naybi, a 2-year-old Border Collie mix, and I've been through a lot, but I'm not giving up! 💪💙 I was surrendered by my old owner after being hurt by stray dogs 🐕, and for a while, I was really scared and unsure of the world around me. But guess what? I'm healing! 🩹✨ I've started trusting again, especially with humans who show me love and kindness 🐾. It’s not always easy, but I'm getting braver each day. I’ve made a few friends along the way and am learning to trust again, bit by bit 💕. I may still need some time to feel totally safe, but I promise you—I'm a loyal, loving companion in the making! 🐶💖 With the right person who will be patient and gentle with me, I know I’ll become the best friend you've been looking for. Could that be you? 🏡If you’re ready to help me continue my journey and fill my life with love and safety, let’s meet! I can’t wait to show you how much love I have to give! 🌟🐾

Story
Hi, I'm Stan! 🐾💙 I'm a 3-year-old, 37-pound pup with a big smile, an even bigger heart, and enough love to make every day a little brighter. I've been patiently waiting for my forever family, and I just know they're out there looking for a guy like me. If you ask me what my perfect day looks like, it's pretty simple. I'd start with some time outside exploring, sniffing all the interesting smells, and soaking up the sunshine. Then I'd enjoy some playtime with my dog friends (I get along great with other dogs!), maybe make a few new human friends, and if I'm really lucky... end the day with a doggie cupcake! Those are definitely one of my favorite treats. I'm a playful guy who loves being part of whatever my family is doing. Whether we're going for a walk, playing in the yard, or relaxing together after a fun day, I'm happiest when I'm with my people. I've been told I have an easygoing personality, and I think that's pretty accurate. I get along wonderfully with other dogs and children, so I'd fit right into an active family that's ready for a loyal, loving companion. More than anything, I'm dreaming about the day I get to leave rescue behind and head home with my forever family. I have so much love to give, and I can't wait to spend my days making you smile, asking for belly rubs, and reminding you just how special life with a dog can be. If you're looking for a playful best friend who's always up for an adventure—and never says no to a doggie cupcake—I think we might be the perfect match. I can't wait to meet you! Love, Stan Adoption Fee: $295 Please Note: All potential adopters must be open to a home check and provide veterinary records confirming that any dogs currently in the household are spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccinations. Story
WATCH MY VIDEO...Mario was brought to the shelter as a stray by a good samaritan. He was understandably very scared and nervous. We don` tknow what he had been through! Then we thought his best day had come when his stray hold was over and a family fell in love with him. Sadly, they brought him back because their other pet didn`t like him. How much can one puppy endure? Mario is a 1-year-old Border Collie mix with all the enthusiasm and energy you’d expect from a youngster. Jumpy, excitable, and eager to make friends, he loves treats and is always ready to investigate the world around him. Like many teething puppies, Mario can be a bit mouthy at times, but he’s still learning and growing every day. Right now, he’s very nervous about walking on a leash and needs to be carried outside, but with patience, positive reinforcement, and a family willing to help build his confidence, this sweet boy has so much potential to blossom into a wonderful companion. He deserves a bright future and a loving family! To meet a pet, please complete the pre-adoption application online and stop by the Humane Society of Broward County at 2070 Griffin Road, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312. We are open daily at 11 a.m. If you have any questions, call 954-989-3977.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Layla 3 year old located in Deltona, FL. Layla's Perfect Forever Home ❤️ Layla has overcome so much, and now she's ready to find the family she truly deserves. Her Story ➡️❤️ Layla (A593221) came to us from a local shelter after she was brought in as a stray and never reclaimed. She was adopted...and returned. Then adopted again...and returned a second time. As the shelter became overcrowded, Layla was at risk of euthanasia because she wasn't able to be paired with another dog in a kennel. That's when TLC Animal Rescue stepped in. Since entering foster care, we've learned that Layla wasn't a 'problem dog'—she simply needed the right environment and someone willing to understand her. About Layla • Approximately 3 years old • 53 pounds (she looks smaller in photos!) • Best guess: Wire Fox Terrier / Australian Cattle Dog mix • Spayed • Heartworm negative • Crate trained • Potty trained • Dog friendly • Microchipped • Monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention Layla is an incredibly smart, playful, and energetic girl. She absolutely loves toys, enjoys learning, and thrives when her mind and body are engaged. Tug toys, balls, walks, adventures, and training sessions are her favorite things! While Layla enjoys being with her people, she is not a lap dog. She's much happier playing, exploring, solving puzzles, and being part of an active lifestyle than spending hours cuddling on the couch. Her ideal home would include: An active family A securely fenced yard (not required) where she can safely run and play Daily exercise and mental enrichment ⏰ A family where she won't routinely be left alone for more than 4 hours at a time One thing we absolutely love about Layla is her temperament. She has shown no aggression toward people or other dogs. She greets new people with a wagging tail, has done wonderfully with men and women, remained calm during thunderstorms, and continues to amaze us with how quickly she learns. She's affectionate in her own way, incredibly loyal, and eager to be involved in whatever her people are doing. We'll be completing cat testing and kid testing soon and will share those results as they become available. We're committed to making sure Layla's third adoption is her forever one. After everything she's been through, she deserves a family that understands her, embraces her playful spirit, and will love her for exactly who she is. Could you be the family she's been waiting for? Located in Deltona, Florida Apply to adopt: www.tlcarescue.com (click the Adopt tab) Please share to help us find Layla the forever home she's waited so patiently for. Her perfect family is out there—we just need to help them find her. ❤️ #AdoptLayla #TLCAnimalRescue #RescueDog #SecondChances #AdoptDontShop #ForeverHomeWanted #FloridaDogs #WireFoxTerrierMixVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 12, 2026, 7:30 pm

Story
The more time Crystal spends in her foster home, the more we learn about this quirky little girl and what her perfect forever home will look like! 😂❤️ Crystal is currently around 17½ lbs and gaining back the weight she lost. She's still a very picky eater, but she's eating a healthy diet of dry food with homemade fresh farm turkey and meal toppers. And when it comes to treats... apparently freeze-dried beef liver is the only acceptable option. 😂 Her personality is really starting to shine! Crystal has a moderate activity level, loves to swim, plays tug with rope toys, nuzzles her stuffed lamb, and enjoys playing with her foster doggy siblings. Toys are no longer an issue for her at all! 👏 She has a silky, medium-length coat and has been shedding very little in her foster home. Crystal is also a smart girl! 🧠 She knows sit, stay, down, and "go to bed," is working on paw, and is learning to wait at the door before going outside. Potty training is still a work in progress... apparently going outside and then pooping in foster mom's office 30 minutes later seemed like a perfectly reasonable decision to Crystal. 🤦‍♀️😂 She does great when adult visitors come into the home! Her foster family simply asks everyone to ignore her and allow her to approach on her own terms. No barking or drama—she settles in beautifully. ❤️ After spending more time observing Crystal around children, we have decided that an adult-only home will be best for her. She is still learning boundaries and building confidence, and we want to set both Crystal and her future family up for success. Crystal is dog friendly, not cat friendly, and not suited for a home with livestock. She is still working on food resource guarding, but her foster family continues to work with her using positive reinforcement and management. And we can't forget Crystal's strangest new hobby... 😂 She sometimes runs up, wraps BOTH front paws around your leg, and lets her back end drag while you walk! Apparently Crystal thinks she's a cat. 🤷‍♀️🐈😂 For that reason, she needs a family steady on their feet who can handle her goofy antics! Crystal has come SO FAR, and every day we're learning more about the smart, playful, affectionate, and slightly weird little dog hiding underneath all that fear. 🩷 She's not the right dog for every home—but we know her perfect person is out there. 🐾 Crystal is available for adoption!
