Most county shelters simply don’t have the space, staff, or resources to care for a mom and her newborns, so when this little family needed help, Big Dog Ranch Rescue didn’t hesitate to step in. Now safe in our care, Nyx and her babies are getting everything they need — medical attention, good nutrition, and most importantly, love. Nyx can finally rest easy knowing her pups are warm, fed, and cared for. Each day they’re growing stronger, learning, and showing more of their sweet, playful personalities. Hi, I'm Stan! 🐾💙 I'm a 3-year-old, 37-pound pup with a big smile, an even bigger heart, and enough love to make every day a little brighter. I've been patiently waiting for my forever family, and I just know they're out there looking for a guy like me. If you ask me what my perfect day looks like, it's pretty simple. I'd start with some time outside exploring, sniffing all the interesting smells, and soaking up the sunshine. Then I'd enjoy some playtime with my dog friends (I get along great with other dogs!), maybe make a few new human friends, and if I'm really lucky... end the day with a doggie cupcake! Those are definitely one of my favorite treats. I'm a playful guy who loves being part of whatever my family is doing. Whether we're going for a walk, playing in the yard, or relaxing together after a fun day, I'm happiest when I'm with my people. I've been told I have an easygoing personality, and I think that's pretty accurate. I get along wonderfully with other dogs and children, so I'd fit right into an active family that's ready for a loyal, loving companion. More than anything, I'm dreaming about the day I get to leave rescue behind and head home with my forever family. I have so much love to give, and I can't wait to spend my days making you smile, asking for belly rubs, and reminding you just how special life with a dog can be. Granger is a gorgeous Aussie mix with soulful eyes and a heart made for one lucky family. Healthy and full of life, she loves belly rubs, car rides, chasing her fly toy, and being brushed. Storms, fireworks, snow — nothing fazes this confident girl.She’s whip-smart: knows all her commands, heels on cue, walks well on leash, and learned to grab a bone to self-soothe when excited. A trainer at a top facility evaluated her last week — she passed every test and was praised as highly trainable.Granger just needs a short time to warm up to new people, but once she does, you’re family for life. I have never once felt unsafe alone in the house with her by my side — she’s a wonderful watchdog.Honesty matters: Granger is reactive with other dogs, though she lives peacefully with one now. With someone patient and loving, this is very manageable.She’s being rehomed after her owner’s death and just wants someone to love her.
