Story
Adoption by Advance Application Only/applications being accepted through Thursday 2/5/26Adoption Fee $300 eachThey were brought to us by a gentleman who used to breed border collies. He was a member of the AKC, so a legitimate breeder. For reasons unknown he decided to surrender all of them. There were simply too many for him to care for by himself. Thirteen of these beautiful dogs are available for adoption. They are different ages from 7 months to 8 years and simply gorgeous. Sadly, they are all under socialized. They will need families who understand the breed and will give them time to acclimate. Although used to living outdoors they will do fine as indoor dogs. In fact, indoors is preferable for these guys, particularly in the summer months. Border collies are an exceptionally smart breed, and generally quite easy to train. Several are heartworm positive, but will be treated here by our amazing medical team. Email reception@hsscg.org for an application or for questions. They are spayed/neutered, microchipped and current on core vaccines. Following are the precious pups` names and heartworm status: Blair (HW+)Harlow (HW+) Cathleen (HW+)BonnieFloraDuncan (HW+)Finn (HW+)PatrickMurphy (HW+)ArabellaCloverAlfieMaeve

Story
Finn is a fun boy with so much love to give and needs his perfect home to give it to. He is used to being around a lot of different sized dogs, he loves people, and can be cat tested upon request. He enjoys playing with any dog he is housed with and loves ALL the volunteers! We were able to save him and his sister from being euthanized at Cordele Animal Services and we would love for him to find his forever family. He is still learning his manners so a home with older kids and no fragile elderly would be best so he doesn’t accidentally knock anyone over; he doesn't have spatial awareness. He is already neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and ready to go. Finn can be cat tested upon request. SGER FAQs:We are a 501c3 non profit rescue.Your information in our application is not shared and is protocol for adoption. Here is the application link. https://shorturl.at/syCM3All of our dogs have age-appropriate vaccinations, if over 6 months old are spayed or neutered, if under 6 months adopter is responsible for having that done between 6 and 10 months of age (we can offer some low cost options for you), microchipped with lifetime free membership, dewormed and will go home with a 3 to 5 day dewormer as well. Any medical conditions known are disclosed to the best of our ability. Adults are hw tested and status is disclosed. Please don't let HW positive dogs deter you. Please ask us and we will gladly explain the slow kill process! If you are out of state or out of area that is not a problem, we do offer relay transport for a small additional fee to cover health certificates required for private interstate travel and additional vetting required. We run solely on donations and house 100 plus dogs and 10 plus horses at any given time. Please be patient but if you do not hear from us within 48 hours of submitting your application please reach out. We are human and we do get very busy sometimes. Our email is Sgequinerescue@gmail.com you can email when you put your app in or wait the 48 hours. Just know some dogs have a lot of apps so the sooner the better in those cases. Adoption fees range from $150 to $400 We do not offer discounts of any kind. Adoption fees are set fees and not negotiable. These fees help with vetting on current and future animals we take in. We do not offer walk through "choose a dog/puppy" type experience. We are partially foster-based, we can help with matching dogs if you have something you have in mind so feel free to call or browse our available dogs at sger.petfinder.com You can meet before adoption but that is ONLY done with approved applicants. Thank you for considering giving a rescue dog a chance. You don't just save one life, you save 2! If you are interested in supporting our mission but not ready to adopt you can Donate the following ways. $5 dollars or $500 it absolutely all matters and helps!Venmo @SGERescueCashapp $SGERescueZelle Sgequinerescue@gmail.com Paypal Sgequinerescue@gmail.com Text DOG 53555

Story
Meet Sirius. Smart, handsome, and built like a furry overachiever, Sirius is a 3-year-old Collie/Aussie mix who truly loves his people. He’s fantastic with kids and adults, has grown up around dogs and cats, and thinks belly rubs are a competitive sport. He’s fully house-trained, kennel-trained, doesn’t steal food, comes when called, and sits on command. Sirius also comes with herding-dog energy. He loves to run, be outside, and use his busy brain. He needs an active home that can give him room to move and time to engage. Watching him spend too much time kenneled has been hard, and he deserves more than we can currently provide. Located in NE Florida. We require a meet & greet and home check to ensure the right fit. This has been a heartbreaking decision, but our goal is simple: a home where Sirius can truly thrive.

Story
Meet Luna. Sixty-three pounds of personality in what should probably be a 45-pound body, Luna may be the smallest of our crew, but she absolutely runs the show. She’s confident, clever, and knows exactly what she wants — which is usually food or a game of fetch (preferably both). Luna loves children, tolerates cats, and does well with other dogs, though she’d also thrive as an only pet if she gets plenty of attention. She’s crate-trained, affectionate, and a very good girl who bonds deeply with her people. She’s looking for someone who will continue her leash training, throw the ball often, and take her along for life’s adventures. Located in NE Florida. A home check is required, and we’re happy to arrange a sleepover to ensure it’s the perfect fit.

Story
Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Atlanta, GA Meet Hudson Fox! He is a 2-year-old Australian Shepherd/Australian Cattle Dog mix and weighs between 45-50 lbs. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots, and on heartworm prevention. Hudson Fox is nervous around strangers! He hasn’t been tested around kids. He is good with cats! No dogs, due to his reactivity! He is housebroken and crate trained. Hudson Fox has bitten 3 people. He bit the owner in May 2023 when they attempted to put a muzzle on him while at the vet clinic. He bit the owner’s friend on the hand in May 2024 when meeting him for the first time. Hudson Fox also bit the owner in October 2024 when they attempted to clean his paws after he had an accident in the house. The owner is surrendering him because of his severe anxiety. He also needs an environment with a fenced-in yard, so he can run. He needs to go ASAP! If you think you can provide a great home for Hudson Fox, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $100 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Hudson Fox.
