Story
Maddie is 10 years old but was rescued almost 4 years ago from an abusive household. She was kept in a cage with no bed and was only allowed out once per day to use the restroom. Since I got her, she has grown from a very scared quiet dog who would not leave her cage to a very loving and outgoing dog that is still trying to navigate what freedom and love is. Where she used to not play with loud toys and would stay in her bed all day, she now wanders the house and explores - even joining the family in the living room for game night. Ideally, Maddie would be part of a family that is full of energy! She is part Border Collie and she loves to run, roll in the grass, play fetch, play tag, and perform her tricks. She is very kind, affectionate, and dramatic. Watching her open up the way she has for the past few years has been an honor and as much as I'd love to keep her, we have to move and the only place available doesn't allow dogs.

Dinkers is an energetic 8 year old border collie mix. She needs an experienced owner who can give her the right training. She is house trained, kennel trained, and knows basic commands like sit and lay down. She needs to be in a kennel when left unattended because she will chew things. We plan to get her up to date on shots and spay her before adopting. She doesn't like other dogs or strangers but is affectionate to owners and loves belly scratches. Please consider this sweet girl, she just needs training and she could be a great companion. She is so sensitive to emotions and will comfort you when you are sad. She needs the right loving home.
