Inside the home, he is a complete love bug and a true Velcro dog—he loves being close to his person, playing, getting attention, and being part of whatever you're doing. He is also very food motivated, which can be a huge help when working with him and building his confidence.Unfortunately, Spud struggles with significant anxiety and reactivity, especially outside of the home. Living in an apartment has become increasingly stressful for him. The constant presence of neighbors, other dogs, shared outdoor spaces, and unexpected encounters makes it difficult for him to relax and feel secure.

Charlie is a 6-year-old pit bull/heeler mix that I took in from a friend at 1-years-old. Charlie loves pets, chasing his ball, and will insist on going out with you when you take the trash out! He is a loving, cuddly boy that will be a lap dog if you let him. He does well with a chihuahua who runs the house and has enjoyed playing with other dogs without incident in the past. He loves to chew on squeaky toys, but his main goal is to rip the stuffing out. He will eat toilet paper as a substitute, so you’ll have to watch out for him sneaking off for a snack! He’s had some tummy and skin sensitivities, but has done well with being on a sensitive kibble. He knows sit and could likely be trained for other basic commands. We are looking to rehome him due to recently bringing a baby home and not having the time to give him that he deserves. He is curious of the baby and wants to be near her, but I have not seen his interactions with older children.
