Story
Currently located at our Owensboro, KY location   Ivory (responds to Maggie!) is a beautiful 1-year old Border Collie St. Bernard mix!  Ivory recently spent a month in foster care and here is what her foster family said about her stay:   Kennel and potty trained! Even when her foster parents were working their 8 hour shifts, Ivory had ZERO accidents! Loves to play with other dogs! She thrives being with her friends and is described as submissive.  She is good with kids of all ages! It may take her some time to warm up to new faces but once she does, there is no one she doesn't love! She knows sit, shake, and lay! She has a strong desire to please, which makes training easy! Even though she is still a young pup, Ivory seems to have a mature personality and likes to have a strict day-to-day routine. This gentle girl is even good around chickens!   If you think Ivory is the one for you, put in an adoption application at itvrescue.org!   All of our dogs are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped and spayed or neutered. ##2568358##

Story
Tommy is a one yr old Border collie mix that was adopted from a Texas rescue. He went to a house with 2 littles under 4 and he turned out to be too much puppy for the family. He is a very active puppy (this is natural to his breed) and that is where we came in as fosters. He would do great with kids 8 and older due to his size and playful nature. He gets along with cats but sometimes his herding nature takes over and he will chase them. He does not hurt them just enjoys a good chase. We have 2 cats and a small dog in the house. Tommy enjoys tearing up a good stuffy toy but does not chew on anything else. He is totally potty trained and does well in a crate, although I have never used it with him. He has been with us about a month so I would love for him to find his furever home before he gets to attached here. He will come with a harness and leashes and a few extras. He has a years' worth of flea protection as well.

Story
Hey everyone! My name is hopscotch! I have a very very sad story. I was picked up at a local very overcrowded shelter with my foot missing on one of my back legs. The muscle in my leg had completely atrophied and my leg was very infected. My back leg had to be amputated. I weighed 31 pounds and every bone in my body could be seen even under my thick coat of fur. I was such a medical mess my rescue didn’t expect me to make it. I am on the road to recovery but because of how neglected I was, I have a few requirements in my forever home! I am fostered with dogs and a small child and I’m great with dogs of all sizes! I am not a fan of kitties so I would need a home with no kitties! I am great with my foster mom’s kid but she thinks my best home would be with older kids. I have perfect house manners and would not even need crated if I was in a home alone. I had a litter of puppies I was clearly still nursing when I was found as a stray in a ditch but my puppies were never found. It’s hard telling what happened to them :( I am ready to find my happily ever after! I will need a fenced yard and someone who understands that it might it take me a few days to get the hang of things but once I do I will love you with my entire heart and soul! I am obedient, I am so smart, I’ve been through two different board and trains to learn the perfect manners a girl should have, and I would give my life for the family I love. Adoption donation fee is $50 which it is tax-deductible and goes towards the care of homeless pets with Unchained Souls Canine Rescue. Susi is absolutely adorable! She loves playing with the big dogs, being petted and loved on, and eating time. We are working on potty training and she does not potty in her crate so we are making progress. Susi is age appropriately vetted, spayed, and started on preventions. Border Collies are smart energetic dogs that require a lot of exercise and mental stimulation. A fenced yard is required. If you are interested in meeting Susi email unchainedsoulscaninerescue@yahoo.com for an application.
