Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact jsmbmiller@comcast.net for more information about this pet.Introducing Happy Annie!   Annie is such a sweet girl and LOVES everyone she meets!  She has such beautiful eyes and a gorgeous black coat with a hint of red in it.  Annie is a lap dog and enjoys a hug from her human.  She is a velcro dog that will follow you all over the house and the yard.    Annie likes to play with other dogs and her human but will also entertain herself with a toy or ball.  Speaking of ball!!!!  Annie is a great baller!  She is always ready for a game of fetch or catching the ball when it is tossed to her.  A game of tug is also one of her favorite games.     Annie is great in the car, does well in her crate and is house trained.  She is good for baths and nail trims.  She has met children as young as six and did great with them.  Annie is very playful and may bump a young child and knock them over.     Annie is a food motivated and fun to train.  She does pull on leash and will jump on her people but we are working on that.  Her adopter will need to continue with her training.  A beginning obedience class would be great for her.  Annie is a sensitive girl and always wants to please.    Annie is a very active girl and likes to play with other dogs.  An older dog that doesn't like to play might find her annoying.  She would do best in a home with a very playful dog around her size.     She's a little too interested in cats.  I don't feel she would harm them but would chase them.   Annie was picked up as a stray in Southern Indiana.  She was in a shelter for about a month and beginning to become stressed.  The shelter volunteers were beginning to worry about Annie and worked very hard to get her out.  She is so very grateful to be out of that shelter while waiting on her perfect family.   Annie is 37 pounds, approximately 4 years old and being fostered in Westville, IN      Please contact  jsmbmiller@comcast.net  if you have any questions about Annie.  You can complete an application to adopt Annie or any of the dogs on our website at www.comebyebcrescue.org  ***  The potential adoptor will get a refund on the Application Fee if it’s determined by the Foster Parent that it’s not a good match for the dog and the dog for them, if we do not process their application.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 7, 2023, 4:57 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Anderson is a 1 year old neutered Male Border Collie mix! Currently 34 lbs should be closer to 40 lbs.   Friendly with dogs, people and cats. He tends to gravitate more towards females dogs but does well with males as well.   He is the sweetest boy who loves to snuggle and just hang out! Anderson is only adoptable to a pet home due to the limited angulation in both rear legs. But this sure doesn’t stop him from running, jumping, and swimming!   Anderson is searching for an active family who likes to go on walks, hike, and play in the yard! He does have a fence requirement as he has proven himself to be a fence jumper. He will need to be supervised in the yard. He has successfully jumped a 4 ft chain link fence multiple times and has tested it when on a long line.   Anderson was found as a stray in Southern Indiana and is now being fostered in Columbus OH. Please contact ashquesenberry@yahoo.com  if you have any questions about Anderson.  You can complete an application to adopt Anderson or any of the dogs on our website at  www.comebyebcrescue.org  .    ***  The potential adoptor will get a refund on the Application Fee if it’s determined by the Foster Parent that it’s not a good match for the dog and the dog for them, if we do not process their application. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact stephodellfcr@hotmail.com for more information about this pet. Meet Crew Crew is a 2 year old neutered/male, classic black and white, Border Collie. Approximately 35 pounds. He is very lean and could stand to gain 5 to 10 pounds....he just burns off everything he eats. Crew is being fostered in Plymouth, Indiana. Crew is EXCELLENT with other dogs!! His forever home will need to include another dog. He isn't an 'only dog home' sort of dog. He plays at doggie daycare regularly and loves playtime. He also enjoys fetch. When other dogs are involved in the game, he will often just play chase as another dog is doing the fetching. He is very soft tempered and will not push to get the ball if another dog is going for it. He is curious about my cats, but when he approaches them, he quickly loses interest and moves on. He is extremely fearful of loud noises. And very suspicious of unfamiliar people. Due to him being a bit more fearful than most BCs, he should be considered a flight risk. His forever home will have to be 100% diligent that doors and gates to areas that aren't securely enclosed or fenced are kept closed and latched at all times. Once he becomes familiar with a new person, he is very affectionate. It does take him some time to warm up to new people. A home with children wouldn't be appropriate for him. If your home is a busy one, with lots of visitors....or if you have older children that enjoy having friends over, then he isn't an appropriate dog for you. It would be likely that he would need to be kept crated or separate from visitors he doesn't know. Crew likes and thrives in a quiet environment that also has other dogs for him to play and hang out with. He is crate trained and house trained. He is excellent when traveling in the car. He is good on leash.   Crew is now ready to start looking for his forever home. He is a LOVE   He is very sweet and friendly with people he knows ...Excellent with dogs and reasonable with cats. He gets excited to see the kitties and would like to chase but doesn't ever try to put his mouth on them. He is very soft in terms of his temperament. He is great in his kennel or crate. He rides very well in the car. Very food motivated. Very promising young boy!! And very much my kind of dog... I love everything about this pup and he is super handsome to top it all off!!   He is a very sensitive and sweet boy. He was relinquished to a Southern Indiana shelter for chasing calves Who knew Border Collies liked to chase !?! He LOVES other dogs but is very suspicious of new people.  Crew will bark at new people.  He can be fearful of new places, noises and things and will require a secure fence (no invisible fences) since he could be a flight risk if he gets spooked by something. He is excellent in his crate and a very good rider in the vehicle. He is doing very well in the house now.... initially he was worried about being inside.... he had been an outside dog before coming in to rescue. He would do best in a quiet home with another dog or dogs. He was recently introduced to sheep. He was initially worried about the new environment but did finally settle in and we were able to see his herding instinct kick in. He has been neutered and completely vetted. He is ready to find a home of his very own that is perfectly suited for his needs. Crew requires a fence (no electric fence) and an adult only home. Please contact stephodellfcr@hotmail.com  if you have any questions about Crew.  You can complete an application to adopt Crew or any of the dogs on our website at www.comebyebcrescue.org .    ***  The potential adoptor will get a refund on the Application Fee if it’s determined by the Foster Parent that it’s not a good match for the dog and the dog for them, if we do not process their application.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 7, 2023, 4:57 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Jimmy is just the happiest guy and always smiling!!!! Jimmy knows no stranger, and makes friends wherever he goes. He LOVES to play with toys and will run around the yard all day if you let him. He has attended dog daycare and does well there. Jimmy recently completed a basic obedience class and he was an absolute joy to work with.  Jimmy sleeps quietly in a crate at night, but would also happily cuddle in bed if you’d let him! He also is a great work from home buddy. He sits at his foster moms feet while she works, and he will chew his bone contently or nap.   Jimmy is a fantastic boy and only one year old, with many great qualities.  Although he’s almost perfect, he does tend to want to guard some things that potentially could be edible, therefore he’s a little selective about the dogs he lives with. Jimmy would benefit being the only dog, or possibly living with a female doggy.  Jimmy is being fostered in  Argos, Indiana.   If you have questions about Jimmy, please email kayladarriaga@gmail.com .   For additional information on Border Collies and our adoption process, please visit our website at  www.comebyebcrescue.com .   ***  The potential adoptor will get a refund on the Application Fee if it’s determined by the Foster Parent that it’s not a good match for the dog and the dog for them.***                           Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 7, 2023, 4:57 pm

Hi!  I'm Khloe.  I'm a happy and loving girl looking for a home to help me be a successful grown up dog.  I'm full of love and devotion.  I enjoy playing with my toys, any meal time, snacks are great too and I love going out in the yard to run and play.  I'm a super happy puppy.  My foster mom says I'm quite the catch.  I'm learning good crate manners and walking on a leash too.  Currently anything that can get in my mouth does; my foster mom says I need appropriate chew toys to help me make good choices on what to chew on.  I crave attention and want to be with you any chance I get.   If you are viewing this pet's profile on Petfinder or Adopt-a-Pet,.please use the application link at the bottom of the profile to apply. She currently needing her full vetting. If her vetting is not done before she is adopted she will go home on a full vetting contract with a full adoption rebate to help towards her vet bill. This litter girl does have alot of energy, but she has never been able to run free or had a chance to burn it off. She was locked in a kennel and left. So an active home for her would be great. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Levi is an 8 month old neutered male cattle dog! Currently 28 lbs most likely will be closer to 40 lbs when fully grown’ Levi is a very nervous boy. It takes a while for him to build up trust with a person. For the first 3 weeks I was unable to touch him but now he’s able to take cookies from my hand, allow me to pet him, and hang out on the couch with him! Now that’s he’s coming out of his shell he’s finally becoming a naughty baby puppy! I’ve been loving watching him steal shoes, throw toys in the air, and try to sneak snacks. Levi will do much better in a home with another dog. He likes to build relationships with other dogs which makes it easier for him to open up to people! He gets along with every dog he’s ever met! He’s your typical pushy baby cattle dog. He likes to push everyone’s buttons but is receptive to corrections from dogs and verbal redirecting from people! Once out of his shell he’s the sweetest boy. He likes to chase toys, play in the water, and wrestle with his friends! Levi had an injury to his rear left leg which has since healed but his hair is still growing back! Levi is searching for an active family who likes to go on walks, hike, and play in the yard! He does have a fence requirement as he has proven himself to be a fence jumper when scared. He will need to be supervised in the yard. He is looking for a patient family who will help him blossom. Levi was brought in with his litter from a backyard breeder in western OH and is now being fostered in Columbus OH Please contact ashquesenberry@yahoo.com  if you have any questions about Jimmy. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Introducing Baloo!Update  6/27/23 She is now around 7-8 months old and she has learned a-lot of skills. She is super food motivated.  She has a good sit- maintain and eye contact.  Foster mom uses this when she get alert on her environment.  She will get barky and rowdy and pulls against leash when she see other dogs on leashes. So sit- maintain has helped with this issue.    Baloo is super smart and her recalls are great, however you must have a treat to reward when she comes. She is so smart she knows when there is No reward.  Baloo is super playful with toys and loves to chase the ball.   I can’t forget the water hose, her true heeling instincts come out, chasing it and jumping thru the air. Which is a good way to make her tired.   Baloo is crate trained and knows her routine.  She will be a short version of cattle dog, around 25 lbs.************* Baloo is a 7 month old ball of energy and cuddles. But mostly play! She is energized and natural herding instincts. Needs a herding experience home. She is crate trained and learning skills with training. She is learning not to chase the vacuum or broom. It’s a work in process. She has NOT herd people legs, as of now. Super smart and picks up a routine extremely fast.Quickly runs up the stairs when it is feeding time and bolts to her crate and sits patiently and proper, waiting for her crate door to open. She will be taking puppy classes at the local obedience dog school. Truth About Dogs School. Where she will learn more skills. Baloo ideal home would be with someone who wants to see her succeed and socialize her in the big world, and not shelter her at home. Baloo was surrendered to a Southern Indiana shelter when she was just a puppy.  Baloo needs to go to a home with older kids, no toddlers, mainly because her high drive to chase. Plus, Cattle Dogs are sensitive to noise. Looking for an active family or couple. Baloo won’t be your low drive dog. A home with a fence is required for Baloo.  Baloo is being fostered in Plymouth.
