Foster Update: Shirley is Still Looking for Her Forever Home! Shirley has been thriving in her foster home and we wanted to share a little update on how she's doing. Her foster family reports that Shirley has adjusted wonderfully to home life. She's proven to be a calm, easygoing companion who enjoys spending time with her people and relaxing around the house. Whether she's lounging nearby or soaking up affection, Shirley is happiest simply being part of the house. She's also doing great with the other dogs in her foster home and has shown herself to be a friendly, well-mannered houseguest. Her gentle personality and laid-back nature make her an easy dog to love. While Shirley has been enjoying foster life, what she really needs is a forever family of her own. The only requirement for her future home is that it be cat-free and have time to spend with her as she can show signs from separation anxiety. Shirley has waited patiently for her perfect match, and we know her forever family is out there somewhere. If you're looking for a sweet, loving companion who is already showing what a fantastic house dog she can be, Shirley may be the one for you! She is even sponsored meaning she has NO ADOPTION FEE!! She is already spayed, heartworm tested negative, up to date on vaccinations, and is even microchipped so she is ready to go home.

Story
Hello Hoomans! My name is Bella and I am a 1-2 year old, female Border Collie/Belgian Malinois mix and I am looking for my forever adventure buddy. I am brindle in color and will weigh between 26-60 pounds, making me a medium size girl. That combination of Border Collie and Belgian Malinois means I am very smart, very active and very ready to go, go, go! Before coming to Golden Paws Rescue, life was a little bit rough for me. I was found along a hiking trail in the woods, by a wonderful person, at a time when I was alone, pretty malnourished, confused and somewhat bewildered. This person scooped me up, took me home and cared for me. When I was feeling much better, they decided that they were unable to give me the time, exercise and training that I required and, out of love, took me to Golden Paws Rescue in order for me to find my forever family. My rescuer told me that they were not bringing me here because I had done anything wrong, but because they loved me and wanted the best life possible for me. I love everyone, men, women, and children, but I still have a lot of puppy energy in me, and I may be a little too much for smaller children. I wouldn’t want to accidentally knock any little hoomans down just cause I wanted to play. I really need a person and/or family who are active and enjoy going on long walks and hikes and playing in the yard or dog park. I do very well walking on a leash and can sit on command. After a full day of hiking or playing, I really enjoy going home, curling up next to you and cuddling. So what do you say? I have had all my shots, I have been spayed, and I’m ready to go. If you’re looking for a loyal best friend to hike the trails of life beside you, I’m your girl. Fill out an application, come on in to visit with me and let’s begin our adventures together. Hope to see you soon. Love, Bella EULOGY OF OLD DRUM 1870 “ The one absolutely unselfish friend that a man can have in this selfish world, the one that never deserts him, the one that never proves ungrateful or treacherous, is the dog. “ Senator George G. Story
Chuck Norris is one of the four puppies that were abandoned. He is a short-legged boy but he`s cute as cute can be. He`s a very happy boy who lives like he has the whole world open to him. He is slowly learning how to walk on a leash and learning to not potty in his pen. Chuck loves water, kids, and other dogs. This boy is the star of the show with how he smiles and runs around with his short little legs. You could never have suspected he was abandoned at a young age. He`s ready for that forever home.

Story
Juniper is a sweet girl who had a very rough start in life. She was bred every time she came into heat. Then her, her puppies, then one from her past litter, and the dad to the puppies were all abandoned by their owner. She has since been brought to ACARF where we spayed her so she has no more puppies and she can finally be a puppy herself. She is good with kids of all ages, most dogs, but does not do well with cats. When she gets excited, she will also shake from the tip of her nose all the way to her tail. She is good on a leash, housebroken, and ready for a home where she`s important like she deserves.
