Noodles was taken in by a kind family while he waited for his spot here; this allowed us to know a little bit more about him right off the bat! This sweet boy takes a moment to feel comfortable but after the ice has been broken, he's glued to your side, watchful and protective. He enjoys sticking close and involving himself with what you're doing, or even just laying right at your feet while he waits for you to give him attention. He already knows sit, down, and shake, and had begun work on recall, ""leave it,"" and ""no bite"" (he can get puppyishly mouthy when playful).We were told that he loves being in the house and sitting in the couch, slept great in bed with a young child, and only had one accident right at the beginning. We think this boy has SO much potential to be a fantastic, active family pet.

Legend is a four year old Border Collie mix weighing in at only about 45 lbs. He was brought in as a stray and is just a handful of days away from having been at Faithful Friends for 100 days.Legend is a calm and quiet dog. He has captivated staff and volunteers alike with the way he gives his full and devoted eye contact and attention while he sits very still, almost insisting on his head being stroked. His ears stand at attention when he is spoken to or focused on something. Although much lower energy than many of the dogs at the shelter, Legend is still very much a Border Collie and can easily be convinced to join in a nice long play session. When he is the office dog, he strongly feels that he needs a job to do as well! If you are in search of a four-legged friend who embodies intelligence, charisma, and a heart full of love, consider Legend. With a name like that, you know he's a rockstar in the making!--Dog friendly but does not like rough play/hyperactive dogs--When cat tested, was fearful in room--unknown if he is afraid of cats or of the new situation. Either way, did not stare/hyperfixate.

This gorgeous and healthy boy is Maverick. He is a Beauceron and Border Collie mix born sometime in September 2022 and weighs approximately 60 Lbs. Maverick, and his siblings were dumped on a dirt road when the rescue was notified about them. He spent most of his life outside on a farm with his last foster but now his new foster is teaching him to sleep inside in a crate, use a doggie door and has started him on leash training. Maverick likes to play ball and run with his sister and play. Maverick is an intelligent dog and with some one-on-one training would be an excellent dog. He would love to go on adventures with an active family and be a regal guardian. Beaucerons can make excellent guard dogs because of their intelligence. In fact, they are commonly used as police dogs or in search and rescue operations. Although they look intimidating, Beaucerons are not aggressive. Maverick is neutered, fully vaccinated, dewormed, flea and tick treated and micro-chipped. $50 rescue adoption fee applies.
