Meet Potato! This handsome pup is equal parts brains, curiosity, and sweetness. While some puppies jump headfirst into every new adventure, Potato prefers to take a moment, look things over, and decide for himself. He's an observant little guy who likes to understand the world before diving in. His foster describes him as incredibly smart, and he's already proving it. Potato has not had a single accident in foster care, using puppy pads consistently and doing well with trips outside. Every day he grows a little more confident, and one of his biggest recent victories was choosing to walk up and ask to be held all on his own. Potato loves other dogs, is respectful around cats, and enjoys spending time outdoors exploring the yard. He can be a little cautious when meeting new people, but once he feels comfortable, his sweet personality starts to shine. He enjoys affection, likes being near his people, and is becoming more confident every day. Because of his thoughtful nature, Potato would do best with adopters who will give him time to settle in and continue building his confidence through positive experiences. Another friendly dog could be a great role model, but it's not required.
