Story
Meet Tate! He is a 3-4 year old neutered sweetheart who thinks everyone is his best friend. He is a beautiful, happy boy with a gorgeous blonde coat who lives for affection—his favorite move is to lean his entire body right into you for deep snuggles.Tate is incredibly gentle with children and loves sleeping at the foot of the bed. Unlike many large dogs, he is genuinely safe and wonderful with cats (he even cuddles with kittens!) and gets along great with other dogs.He is smart and partially house-trained; he knows to go outside and holds it beautifully when kept on a regular, predictable routine. He just needs a consistent schedule to get 100% trained. His only real "fault" is jumping up when overwhelmingly happy to see you, but he is eager to please and easily redirected.I am a single mom, and this heartbreaking decision comes because I can't give him the space and active lifestyle he deserves. He will thrive with a fenced or open yard and an owner ready to keep him active.

Story
URGENT: SPECIAL MEDICAL FOSTER OR ADOPTIVE FAMILY NEEDED! Lucie Bee is a 2 year, 7 month old female Golden Retriever (about 68 lbs) and her BFF Buddy is a 3 year, 8 month old Border Collie/Akita mix (about 50lbs) and they are the kind of pair who just belong together! These two came to GRRAND after their family experienced a heartbreaking loss, and through all of the change in their world, they’ve held tightly to the one thing that has remained constant: each other. They are wonderfully bonded, deeply connected, and, as one person lovingly described them, “like peanut butter and jelly.” Buddy Bee is the black-and-white charmer of the pair — friendly, social, and full of love. He doesn’t know a stranger and seems to believe every person he meets is simply a friend he hasn’t said hello to yet. He’s the more outgoing half of this duo and brings a happy, easy warmth wherever he goes. Lucie Bee is Buddy’s beautiful golden sidekick. She’s a little softer and more sensitive at first, but once she settles in, she does just fine. If Buddy is the social butterfly, Lucie is the sweet soul who takes a minute to look around, make sure all is well, and then quietly let her lovely personality shine. She’s a good girl who seems to draw comfort from having Buddy close by... And Buddy is very happy to oblige! She is also able to clear a 4 FT high fence, so a privacy fenced yard or professionally installed invisible fence would be best to keep them contained. These two truly seem to balance each other in the best way — Buddy bringing the confidence, Lucie bringing the gentle heart, and both of them bringing a whole lot of sweetness to the table. They are curious, affectionate, fun and pretty calm dogs. They are an awesome pair. Lucie is also facing a medical hurdle right now. After arriving at GRRAND not wanting to bear weight on one of her back legs, she was evaluated by our vet and diagnosed with a torn CCL, which means she will need surgery. Because of that, GRRAND will be looking for a medical foster for Lucie while she recovers. Our hope, of course, is to find a foster willing and able to take both Buddy and Lucie together, because they are so very close. We also understand that fostering a dog recovering from orthopedic surgery while also taking on a bonded pair is a big ask. If needed, they may have to be temporarily separated during Lucie’s recovery, but only if absolutely necessary. Buddy Bee and Lucie Bee are looking for a soft place to land, a family who will appreciate the sweetness of a bonded pair, and a home where they can continue the next chapter of life together. They’ve already been through a great deal, but they still have so much love to give to a loving new family. If your heart has room for two very special best friends, Buddy Bee and Lucie Bee would love to meet you, so please fill out an app at GRRAND.org and we can make this meet and greet happen! ##2778287##

Story
Momo came into our lives about a month ago on a bit of a trial run gone wrong. We were supposed to have a few days with him to see how he got along in our home and how he adjusted to our cat. We found out they do not get along at all (more her than him), and that our space is not large enough to fully keep them separated long term without eventual issue, but his original owners were unable to take him back. In the month he’s been with us, he’s been a GREAT dog - our setup is just less than ideal for him. He’s incredibly loving and cuddly, has a lot of energy, and loves a good pet. The only “issue” he seems to have is with small animals, he chases after squirrels and rabbits on site and that’s the same issue with our cat. Had him around other dogs and he’s been fine, he’s lived around small children, really he just needs a space that is small animal free. Think he would be great for a family’s first dog or anyone who can give him the love and attention he deserves!

Story
Bandit is a 6–7 month old Heeler/Pit mix. He’s great with kids, crate trained, potty trained, food driven, super playful and full of personality. He knows some basic commands but is still very much a puppy and will need continued training, patience, and consistency. We’re also unsure how he does with cats since he hasn’t had much exposure to them. Up to date on shots and flea meds. Unfortunately, due to an upcoming job and schedule change, he would be spending much more time crated than is ideal for an active puppy of his breed. We’d love to find him a loving, active home with someone who has the time to work with him and give him the attention he deserves. 💙🐾
