Story
Reagan is a female Border Collie. Reagan was dumped at a farm and was chasing their cattle. The farm where she was dumped did try to locate the owner without success. Reagan had both Lyme and Erlichia when tested at the vet so she is on medication to treat. She is terrified of everything new (people and dogs) so we are working on that. She's a very sweet girl. I think she needs a calm, quiet home and she will thrive. Any potential adopter will need to understand HOW SCARED she is and she will need far more time to adjust than most dogs.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Fill out an Online Adoption Application!   Meet Boots, a beautiful Border Collie mix who has had a rough start. She’s spent her life chained, but now thanks to a beautiful rescue mom is blossoming in a home environment. She’s said to be around 4 years old, though she seems younger in energy and spirit. Boots is proving what a wonderful girl she truly is. She loves to run, explore the yard, and especially play with her new friend Cora. Cora can be a bit rough, but Boots handles it like a champ. Even her new blind senior friend, Socks, has decided she’s worth playing with! She is a shy girl at first, but she warms up very quickly. • Leash: She may pull a little, but when I remind her that I’m an “old woman,” she slows right down. • Car rides: Hops in fairly easily and rides well. • Vet care: Fully vetted, microchipped, and her 4DX test was all negative. Boots has been in foster for almost two weeks and has been no trouble at all. Her quirks are harmless and honestly kind of sweet: • Her foster mom leaves the back door open and Boots just loves to dart in and out, child like. When she comes inside, she likes to tuck herself under a table or other safe spot. That’s her comfort place, and she’s happy to have Cora join her for playtime there. • Boots has never tried to dig under or go over the fence. • Her reputation indicated she may not be trustworthy with cats, but she hasn’t been near them in foster to truly know. Boots truly deserves a home where she can get more one-on-one attention and continue learning what it means to be loved. She has shown zero aggression in her foster home—just a gentle, grateful personality that wants to feel safe. If you’d like more info about Boots or want to meet her, please reach out. She’s ready for her new beginning. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  If you are interested in meeting any of our babies, please complete an online application at https://kykittycats.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=6024 If you don't see pictures on Petfinder, please go to our website to view at www.kykittycats.com and we always have a waiting list that hasn't been posted yet.  We are a super small, no kill rescue that is operating way above our capacity. We have taken in over 600 animals in 2024, and we desperately need good adopters, fosters, and sponsors to keep the doors open.  We operate solely on donations, and we are always looking for wonderful families to join our efforts. We have dozens of felines not posted and dozens more on our waiting list. No matter what type of setting you have, if you are looking to save a feline, we can find one for you to help. It typically it cost us $60-80 to fully vet a feline and $80-120 to vet a canine depending on size and health conditions and sex. Please visit and like our social media pages...  https://www.facebook.com/kykitties   https://instagram.com/kentuckykittycats?igshid=11qfoexi4imaf   and now we are on TIKTOK! Our PayPal and Venmo is under kykittycats@yahoo.com and our cash app is $kykittycats All donations are much appreciated, and feel free to designate how you want them spent. If you are interested in sponsoring an animal, just list their name in the comments.    November 21, 2025, 10:28 am
