Jake is a 9 y/o Australian Shepherd mix in need of a loving home! He’s a very sweet and loyal dog, especially with his owners and people he is familiar with. Loves to play fetch, go on walks, ride in the car, and cuddle on the couch. He can by shy around new people but will typically warm up to them. He is anxious with bad weather, going to the vet, going to the dog park, and being around high energy dogs. He has lived with cats and other dogs before. He does better with dogs that are older and calm. Needs a home without small children and owners who can give him lots of attention and exercise. He’s current on all his shots, on heart worm prevention, and is neutered.

Meet Blue He is a 2 year old blue heeler that has been through more than most. After his owner passed away, he was let off his tether and ended up with an injury to his ear, something Mardi Paws graciously stepped in to cover. No family ever came for him or his brother. He spent his entire life chained outside and is now learning what it means to just be a dog. He’s neutered, current on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm positive, and will need a committed adopter willing to see him through treatment. Give him the time and structure he’s never had. He’s not a fan of cats and can be selective with male dogs, so he’ll need the right home. Breed experience is strongly preferred. Heelers are smart, driven dogs and he’ll need someone who understands that. He’s not perfect, but he deserves a chance at a real life. The right person is going to get a loyal, one of a kind companion. Please consider opening your heart & home to Blue. Meet Mickey One of our newest additions to the rescue. Mickey was stated to be about 15 years old when he was surrendered to the shelter. Unfortunately his owner passed away after having him his whole life and no one was able to step up for him. Mickey was suffering from skin issues, lumps and bumps, dry eyes, and some dehydration but he’s feeling so much better! He had his large lumps removed, gotten several medicated baths, and his eyes are feeling great. Mickey is a gentle fella who loves snacks and meal time! He is great with other dogs, cat tested, and kid approved! Mickey is looking for a cushy home to live out his glory days, who can resist that sweet face?!
