Story
Addie is smart, energetic, sweet, playful, quirky and loving. Unfortunately, she suddenly started attacking our cats unprovoked over the past year. She also has an issue with resource guarding, but this has been improving due to positive reinforcement. She has not been around many children, but she once nipped at a younger child running when she was 1yr due to her herding instinct. A friend of ours provoked an unsupervised level 3 bite from her in November 2024, and we went through reactive dog and in home training after. Despite this, she is occasionally still reactive, but she has not bitten anyone since. We are concerned with our cats’ safety, and the issue of us starting a family soon. Addie loves to show off all her tricks, play fetch, walk, run, swim, and cuddle. She would excel in agility or any working job. She would thrive in a home with people that love to stay active and can provide Addie with mental stimulation (no young children, maybe another dog). All her things included

Story
I adopted Bella from a family in Wisconsin in 2025 last, who took her in after one of their parents past away. She will turn 7 on Dec 25 2026. She has quickly become a wonderful friend, but I feel like my apartment lifestyle just isn't fair. I am creating this listing in her best interest. I'm looking for a home that can fulfill her needs to be the Border Collie she instinctual is. I am very fond of her and will be fine with keeping her until a great home shows itself. I'm hoping we can find a farm home that has expanded borders and a more appropriate environment for her best life, perhaps other dogs of similar nature, basically an opportunity that she can fit well into. I intend to be very picky about who takes her in. She is a BC, therefore intelligent and always in need of something to do. I feel horrible having her lay under my desk while I work most days. She is in excellent health, but would be happier in a better environment. As difficult as this is, it's for her

Story
Meet Dublin! 🍀 Dublin is a 1-year-old Border Collie mix with a big personality and an even bigger love for playtime. This handsome boy is smart, curious, and always ready to turn an ordinary moment into a game. Chasing a ball, going for walks, or tossing around his favorite stuffy toys are some of Dublin’s favorite ways to spend the day. He’s the kind of dog who enjoys staying busy and having fun with his people, and he’s always happy to be part of the action. Dublin is also a bright young dog who enjoys learning and interacting with the people around him. When the fun winds down, he’s more than happy to soak up attention and enjoy some well-earned affection. If you’re looking for a playful, clever companion who will keep life interesting, Dublin might just be your perfect match. Submit an adoption survey at al-van.org/adopt.
