Xena is a pretty tricolored dog who was found as a stray out in the woods, miles from anything.  The people who found her couldn't keep her because they have health issues, and so Xena came into rescue. She is possibly some kind of terrier, maybe mixed with smooth coated border collie, but without a DNA test it's hard to say just what kind of mix she is. She does have the typical terrier puppy disposition.  She is feisty, high-activity, playful and friendly.  She is a little too interested in the barn cats, so would probably do best in a cat-free home. She got a good vet check, is spayed,  and has been given age-appropriate vaccinations, has been dosed with Nexgard Plus for flea/tick/worm prevention, and microchipped.  She weighed 32 pounds on 7/3/25. The vet estimated that she was born somewhere around 1/29/25. After a few sit downs with her, she will be in your lap.  She is very affectionate and has a loving nature. She prefers to be outside but has been both inside and outside. Apple is also playful good with other dogs. This breed needs an active home and lifestyle, can you provide that for her? He will be at the North Central Unit in Calico Rock. He will be crate trained, house-trained, learn manners and he will learn lots of tricks as well! Hal will be looking for a forever home before he graduates at the end of October, so if you are interested in meeting him, please contact us. Read more about him below… Hal is the sweetest puppy you will ever meet.  He is playful, energetic, and funny.  He was picked up on the side of the road and never claimed, so we don't know about his heritage.  He is not afraid of anything and loves everyone.
