Story
Woody is a 3-month-old chocolate Border Collie with the softest eyes and the sweetest heart. Like many sensitive, intelligent pups his age, Woody can be pretty nervous when meeting someone new. The world is still a big place to him! But here’s the beautiful part — give him just a little patience and reassurance, and he warms up quickly.Once Woody feels safe, his personality truly shines. He absolutely loves getting pets and will happily soak up all the affection you’re willing to give. After that initial shyness melts away, he becomes playful, bouncy, and full of puppy joy. He enjoys interacting with anyone he’s comfortable with and is already showing the bright, curious mind Border Collies are known for.Woody would thrive in a patient, loving home that understands he may need a moment to feel brave in new situations. With gentle guidance, positive experiences, and lots of love, he’s going to grow into an incredibly loyal and devoted companion. If you’re looking for a sweet, sensitive pup who will bond closely with his people and reward your patience with endless love and playful energy, Woody is ready to meet you.

Story
Meet Billy Bob, a sweet and wise Border Collie mix with a heart as big as his 70 lbs! He’s about 1 1/2 years old and has the calmest, most serious vibe—like a little old soul in a furry body. Billy Bob loves his walks, especially the sniffing breaks, and he’s a total pro on leash. He’s not the type to beg for attention, but when he’s ready, he soaks it up like the best cuddle buddy ever. Once he feels safe, he’s like a loyal little guardian, ready to love you with all he’s got. The whole shelter crew has fallen head over paws for him, and we just want to find him a loving home where he can be the amazing, devoted friend he truly is!February 27, 2026, 3:25 pm

Story
This is Cooper he is a 5 year old border collie blue healer an amazing dog and does love anyone after a couple times of meeting them. Cooper has allot of energy and loves to run around and play. He knows basic commands sits and shakes hands before every meal. Very good in kennels and leash trained. My new homes back yard is just not big enough for him and me and my wife now have a baby in the house and he's just to rambunctious to keep him. It truly hurts my heart to even be doing this I have had him since he was only 6 weeks old. I just cannot keep him I have tried everything to avoid this but it is time I just want Cooper to go to the best loving home I could find for him

Story
Maggie is a 9-month-old border collie mix. She is a sweet puppy—very smart and easily trainable. Maggie is both crate-trained and house-trained. She has mastered the "sit" command and is currently working on "stay" and "come." She walks on a leash, although she still exhibits some typical puppy behaviors, such as pulling and occasionally tugging on the leash. Maggie enjoys playing fetch with a tennis ball and loves to chase after a soft Frisbee. She has undergone a complete veterinary check-up, is fully vaccinated, and is on heartworm prevention medication. However, she does not seem to get along with cats, which is the reason for her rehoming. Although she has had limited interactions with other dogs, her few encounters have gone well after a bit of barking and playful behavior. If you're interested in meeting Maggie, come to our adoption event on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month from 11am-2pm, located at 6300 San Mateo NE in the south Sprouts parking lot. Alternatively, we can arrange a Private Meet-and-Greet with the foster parent and your household with a completed application. Complete an easy, no-obligation online application and take the first step towards welcoming Maggie into your home by clicking on this link https://form.jotform.com/222028369049155 The $250 adoption fee covers all vaccines, spay, microchip, and heartworm/tick-borne illness testing.

Story
Introducing the one and only Pecas! This beautiful lady is 7 years old and she currently weighs about 53lbs. She has been lucky enough to currently be in foster care and here are some recent notes from Pecas’s foster parents.“Meet Pecas, a very loving, good girl in search of a person or family of her own! Pecas means freckles in Spanish and she has the cutest freckles on her snout. She also has beautiful blue eyes. She is 7 years old and weighs 53 lbs. She is very affectionate, leans in for pets, wags her tail at any attention, and loves to give kisses. She is potty trained, gets along well with other dogs and seems to enjoy their company, likes to play tug and tag, takes treats gently, and is not very vocal, only giving an occasional bark during play or at the delivery man. She mostly walks well on a leash, with some pulling when she is excited. She has exhibited some prey drive around rabbits. She is calm in the house and in the car and she settles down very well overnight. She is maybe a heeler / husky mix? She would make a wonderful companion for anyone with love to give. Please reach out if you’d like to meet her! `Pecas is currently resting in foster. If you are interested in meeting with her please email the New Hope department at newhope@sfhumanesociety.orgPecas’s adoption fee is $100. She is spayed and microchipped and has age-appropriate vaccinations. A licensing fee may apply.
