Story
Valkyrie, born 3/9/24, is a Border Collie/Great Pyrenees/Pitbull mix. Mother Border Collie/Great Pyrenees, Father Pitbull. Valkyrie’s personality traits mostly resemble that of a Border Collie. Unfortunately, her short hair gets her cold, even if she loves the outdoors. Upon taking her in, I was assured she got along with cats as I already had/have on. She does have a high prey drive and is very high energy, so a home with no smaller pets and a fenced yard is surely ideal. Valkyrie is selective with other dogs, but she absolutely loves people. So much so, she can get jumpy and lose herself in over-excitement, then trying to herd. She has gotten along well with children, although calm works best. She loves to play fetch and to do commands/tricks for treats. She knows sit/lay down/stay-but only briefly/high-five/spin. She has figured out puzzles and locks within minutes and is highly intelligent. Best for her behavior is with people who do not work from home to enforce routine.
