Story
Meet Judy. While her tag says "senior," her vitality says otherwise. Judy loves people, having her hair brushed, and going for walks—she might need a joint chew after her walk. Judy hates to be alone; if you leave her in a yard, she will start looking for all those bones she's buried, then jump up to give you a hug with her muddy paws. If you're looking for a constant companion, your ride or die, Judy's your girl. On a side note, she is not a fan of thunderstorms; she will want to be by your side and shows her anxiety by panting.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. BEAU and his 5 siblings were born after their mum, was saved from a large hoarding case in Northern Texas (April 2026) where the American Humane were involved due to the scale of abuse and neglect. "Sweetie" their mum was heavily pregnant and had a rotted, infected foot/leg that caused her leg to need amputation. Luckily she was saved and was able to give birth to 6 healthy pups in the safety of the local animal control department and their foster team.  After getting vetted and old enough to travel (8 wks) they arrived safely at Give a Dog a Home Rescue in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine on 28 May 2026. We had planned to take their mum, Sweetie along with the pups, but we are happy to share that she was a Foster-Fail down in Texas. We welcome adopters from across the East Coast and Canada — many of our families travel to meet and take home their new best friend! Health & Background I was informed by the ladies on transport that they were told that BEAU was deaf. This does appear to be the case and so we are looking for experienced families with another dog to be his hearing companion. Estimated date of birth: 31 March 2026 ✅ Neutered ✅ Core vaccines up to date - too young for Rabies ✅ Monthly preventatives ✅ Microchipped with 24PetWatch - registered with Free Pet Chip Registry. ⚖️ Weight approx. 10 pounds at end of May   Our adoption fee's are $550 per dog/pup or $1,000 for two. Adoption Details Location: Dover-Foxcroft, Maine Families must complete and submit an adoption questionnaire. Once approved, you’ll be invited to schedule an appointment to meet and hopefully go home together. ⏱️ Applications are generally processed within 24-48 hours Click here to complete the Adoption Questionnaire Want to See More of Pictures? Story
Meet Saffron! Precious Saffron was rescued from a TN shelter moments before she was to be euthanized. She is currently in a foster home and looking for her forever family. Here is what the foster mom says about Saffron: She is a beautifully calm and gentle soul who takes the world in at her own peaceful pace. While she might be a little shy at first, her heart is incredibly tender—her absolute happy place is simply nuzzling right into your neck and snuggling the day away. She is wonderfully well-mannered, fully potty- and crate-trained, walks beautifully on a leash, and already knows her "sit" and "come" commands. Saffron is a gentle presence around little humans and gets along great with other dogs, though her serene nature means she prefers slow, polite canine introductions. If you are looking for a quiet, devoted companion who wants nothing more than to be your personal, all-day cuddle bug, Saffron is waiting to snuggle her way into your heart. Saffron is approx 7 mos old, 36 lbs, fully vaccinated and will be spayed prior to adoption. She is located in TN and transport is available to your area. Story
Meet sweet Tyra! This pretty girl was saved minutes before euthanasia at a TN shelter. She is in temporary boarding and needs a home of her own. Tyra is 2.5 yrs old, 45 lbs, fully vaccinated and spayed. She does have heartworms which the rescue has a treatment program for. 🐈 Cat and Dog Friendly and 🧻 House Trained per foster notes Here are notes about Tyra's personality: "this sweet girl is overflowing with ❤️ and charm. She's a breeze to 🦮leash up and walks like a pro-calm and curious as she takes in the world around her. When we got to the yard, Tyra's adventurous side came out-she loved exploring every corner. But as soon as I sat down, she ran right over for 💋kisses and belly rubs! She's also a social butterfly, excited to meet other 🐾dogs, even greeting her neighbor pup through the fence with a friendly nose touch!🐕 🩷If you're looking for a dog who's all about cuddles when you're ready to relax, but also ready for playtime whenever you are, Tyra is your girl! She's the perfect balance of snuggles and energy."💖 🐾Her foster mom says: "Tyra has settled in well! We are crate training, and leash training. She's fully housebroken, has not had a single potty accident! She goes to the back door when she wants to go out & barks to be let back in. She's mastered "sit and "down, we're working on "stay. She's now cat-friendly, too." Here's what a volunteer said about Tyra: 🐾"She is very VERY affectionate. In the yard, we played a little fetch, but mostly she just wanted pets and to be held." Tyra Sanchez went on a field trip, and here's how it went: 🐾"Tyra is a very sweet and loving puppy. She did not bark or whine when near other people or other dogs. She is very cautious around cars and loud noises. She is a great walker! 🩷Tyra loves to be around people and gets very excited. She is very gentle when taking 🍪 treats by hand. Overall Tyra was very fun to be around and I'd recommend anyone looking to adopt to consider adopting her."💖 🟢 Assistance with heart worm treatment available to adopters Tyra is currently in Mississippi and available for transport to your area. Please contact Julie on 919 624 0059 to learn more about this sweet girl.
