Story
Badger’s looking for a farm! Badger is a 49 lb., 7 year old, neutered, housebroken Border Collie and Hound mix. Badger’s habit of trying to “herd” a little girl who used to visit landed him at the shelter even though he was fine with older children in the home. Badger has the beautiful markings of a Border Collie minus the static cling and tangles because his fur is Hound dog short. Badger responds well to positive training and leadership; he could earn a place in the Guinness book of world records for “dog who can play fetch the longest.” Hound dogs do not do well in shelters and Badger is no exception. Confinement in such a small space is challenging for Badger, who loves to play and explore. If you prefer dogs to people, and if you have some land you wouldn’t mind sharing with this Border Collie/Hound country boy, please contact Tri-County Animal Rescue Center ( kennel license # 8704 ) on Facebook, or call 814-918-2032, or email: contactus@Tricounty-arc.org

Paws-in-Prison training graduate! He learned all kinds of wonderful behaviors! He is a VERY WELL-TRAINED DOG!!! Hi! I'm Oliver. I very much have the Border Collie temperament... I love to run, play and keep an eye on everything... I like to keep myself pretty busy...however I will gladly take a break to enjoy some lovings! Oliver would do best in a home without the chaos of kids, they make him nervous! Canine Partners Program only places our dogs and puppies into homes that meet "their" needs! Story
Wilder is absolutely gorgeous! He was surrendered to us from a breeder and is a purebred Border Collie. He has the typical BC traits and loves to herd the dogs in his foster home. Unfortunately, Wilder was not socialized in the most critical time of his life (birth-16 weeks) and it shows when meeting new people and new things. We have worked hard with Wilder helping him gain confidence and he is so much better. Not knowing how bad he was though, it will be hard for most people to understand his accomplishments. Once Wilder feels comfortable around the new person or thing- he is amazing! He is SUPER sweet and loves attention. Wilder lives in one our busiest foster homes so he is extremely dog social and does amazing with all dogs but LOVES puppies! He is crate trained and housetrained. However, he has lived in a home with a doggie door so he may need reminded about "holding it if you don't have a hole in the wall for immediate outside access ;) One thing for certain he MUST have a second friendly, playful dog in the home. Wilder would not do well at all without a dog companion!
