This sweet girl has a gentle personality that's a wonderful mix of playful curiosity and quiet sensitivity. New or unexpected noises can make her a little cautious, and she may retreat to a favorite safe spot—like a laundry basket or under a porch chair—until she feels comfortable again. My old family gave up on me and could no longer take care of me. I like to sit in the back of my kennel and then the second I see you come running up to the gate. I love to be given treats, I will eat almost anything you hand me. I am a quick learner and have learned some of my basic commands. I like to get my nails trimmed and love baths. I have this cute look about me when I hear a sound I tilt my head to the side. I love to give kisses to kids and have met a couple of dog friends. Story
Tootsie and her 10 puppies were brought to the local pound by her owners to be surrendered. When they found out how much it would cost, they were dumped . Tootsie by the highway. Puppies down the road near railroad tracks. Someone took her in for the weekend, then on a Monday she was taken to the pound. The puppies were found, (1 dead), and taken to the persons house. He gave away 2. 2 ran off, never to be seen again. So Monday 5 puppies were taken to the pound. They were reunited and within the hour of being euthanized, they were rescued with a foster. Tootsie didn't last at the foster because she doesn't like being in a kennel and broke out of all 3 she was in. She also velcroed herself to the foster. Ultimately, she had to leave urgently and we had no choice but to put her in boarding. It's draining our funds. However, while in boarding, since she is able to roam freely, and we have discovered what an absolute precious girl she is. She's quiet, non-reactive to other animals and people. She just wants to liveca peaceful life and be loved. She loves to go outside for walks. She will do her business outside on those walks. She's spayed and currently undergoing heartworm treatment. We've tried desperately to find her another foster, with no luck. She can be adopted in Texas but has to wait until she heartworm negative before leaving the state. If you are interested in fostering or adopting, please message me. P.S. Her puppies went on transport to Oregon to all be adopted by loving families. ❤️🐾❤️
