Story
Charlotte is a sweet 16-year-old collie mix that my family has had since she was a puppy. By many twists of fate, I have ended up as her sole caretaker, a position I am not suited for as I am wholeheartedly a cat person and struggle with the needs and mess of a dog. I am also 26 and have had my freedom hindered by dog caretaking for the last 3 years and I am seeking to find her a home where that will not be an issue. She is an old dog and mostly sleeps, but she is still mobile and enjoys going outside. She has multiple health issues including arthritis and heartworms which she takes medication for, but otherwise she is relatively low-maintenance. She does have a tendency to snap if pet too roughly; I believe this is a combination of her being almost blind and in pain from arthritis. She has never actually bitten anyone, just made a show of barking. Charlotte is in need of a home where she will be wanted and appreciated, which is not something I can provide for her.

Story
DOB 5/21/24 Rocket loves everyone (even cats!). He loves you and always wants to be around you. He is smart and likes to please. He likes to chase balls, but does not bring them back yet. He is the dog waiting at the gate or door with a tail wagging faster than you can see it to greet you. He wandered up to a kind family's home and they've started his vetting (neuter appt pending) and some basic training: -At first he was unsure about going into a crate, but is very calm when he finally is in it. -He has been in the house for long periods of time without any accidents, but we assume he's not fully house trained (only 7 months old!) -Working on leash training He loves to go and rides well in the car. He's going to make a fantastic companion! Foster to adopt is a great way to see if Rocket is the perfect fit for your family. Adoption fee includes neuter.
