Story
Cooper is a 6 year old Border Collie Australian shepherd mix, he is the best sweetest dog, we got him as a puppy. So good with kids, loves riding in the car, and playing basketball! We just don't have time to give him the time and attention he needs. We also have a 4 year old female border collie mix, if you are open to having them both so they could stay together, but ultimately if they are separated we just want the best for them!

Story
Lady has been the best dog a person could ever ask for. Loyal, loving, and patient. We got her as a puppy and immediately fell in love. She has shown true, unconditional love in the most trying times in our lives, especially as we have welcomed two new children. Lady has always been my pal, always wanting to come with us when we do things. We took her to training, spent time teaching her, and have the dog of our dreams. Due to new children and understanding where we are at in our lives, we have to rehome Lady as we do not have the time or the capacity to give her all the love she needs. We are looking for a home for her where she won't just be put in a kennel or the backyard. Although she's kennel trained, she has been a couch dog and a true cuddler. She will sit with you all days and will spend time with you. We want someone who will take her places, let her have fun, and most importantly, love her as much as we have .

Story
This is Alvin- tall, dark, and handsome, plus he is smart, great company and ready for anything but looking for forever! See what he is bringing to the table here then come back to read more about him! https://youtu.be/mdSnEmN08NY Alvin became a fast favorite of everyone here for more than his good looks. His ears and happy sunshine face grab your attention then his good-natured personality seals the deal. He is a perfect passenger prince, is house and crate trained, plays fetch, is a great doggie playmate and is self-entertaining….seriously the more I think about it- he is pretty great... I’ll race you to apply for him! Estimated to be 2 years old and weighing 55 lbs, Alvin had us all guessing at what breed mix he might be. We can’t say with 100% confidence with any rescue dog but this boy here feels like a shot in the dark for us, so if you adopt him and get his DNA results can you share them? It’ll help settle some bets. We have a couple bets on Collie/ Shepherd, throw in some pittie to make a true Texas special. Alvin is so fortunate and is being fostered in a loving home while he waits for his forever home. His foster shared, he is house and crate trained, has good house manners and minds basic commands. Alvin is living along-side an older female boxer who has past her days of play and is more into naps and Alvin respects that. Luckily he gets regular meet-ups with other dogs to get his play energy out. We introduced Alvin to a handful of dogs to get a feel for his “type” of dog and see his play style in action. Alvin loves to play! He has a rough and tumble approach to play and when his playmate matches that it is so fun to watch. His immediate play connection was with a female who was both similar in size to him as well as an energetic match. But no matter the dogs he met he was easy going and respectful. During his first on-leash meeting he was visibly excited but contained it well and once he got to meet her that excitement dissipated into an appropriate dog meeting. He is dog-friendly but has an enthusiastic approach to play that won’t suit every dog. Alvin would flourish in a home with a confident, moderately playful female dog who will match him. His foster has shared his love of outdoor adventures, and you can see he is practically built for it. That sleek frame and those long legs are begging to be a regular on your favorite hiking trail or running path. Bonus, getting there will just as enjoyable. If you get the door Alvin can load up on his own and is happy to curl up in the seat to watch through the window or take a little nap. Because of his size and love of bouncy play and a good round of fetch, Alvin would do best in a home with a yard, older kids and no cats, as he’s still working on his boundaries with smaller animals and his enthusiasm for play could knock over a little one on unsteady legs. He would both love and thrive in a home with a dog-friend to bounce around with and take naps in the shade next to. But don’t worry, despite his love of a good romp, you will often find him laying around with a toy or chewie. We love a a self-entertaining dog! Personality wise, Alvin can be described as a gentleman, who is polite socially, no pushy people greetings with him, and a perfect touch silly. Alvin has classic good dog potential, he is most of the way there but a forever family of his own and experiencing life by your side, is what will bring out that last bit of perfection. If any part of you thinks Alvin is the one, apply now! If you have any questions about Alvin or are ready to move forward by applying, here is all the info you need. Please email elizabethbower@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions or complete the application found here https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/68249fbc309eabb0e5083612 Available for adoption in NV, MT, CO,UT, ID, OR, WA, Canada, and now the East Coast! Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes.
