MEET HAVASUPAI/SUPAI— AKA “SOUP”! This adorable 4-month-old Border Collie mix is 26 lbs of smart, athletic, playful puppy! Soup is an adventurous little guy who loves to climb, play and learn and do zoomies, then afterward, he’ll happily curl up at your feet for some much needed rest. He is energetic, athletic, agile, and already a master climber.Soup loves other dogs and enjoys rough-and-tumble play with his big foster brother. He would do best with teens or adults while he continues learning puppy manners and not to jump when excited. He is very food motivated so treat training is a dream, and he’s learning to take treats gently He is smart & eager to learn and already knows “sit,” “lay down,” and has a great recall for a young pup. He is affectionate (once his energy is out) and loves being close to his people and curling up at their feet. He has done wonderfully riding in a crate in the car and could make a fantastic adventure buddy!Soup is a puppy in training, so his new family should be prepared for the normal chaos that comes with puppyhood! He is not fully house trained yet, but he's learning. He sleeps through the night in his kennel; still working on daytime crate routines. As is true of most puppies, he can an be a little nippy, especially when excited and he has normal puppy chewing—appropriate toys and puppy-proofing are a must! He loves food and is learning that counters are NOT a buffet He is comfortable with nail trims while being held, but still learning to accept having his teeth and mouth checkedSoup needs an active adopter who understands Border Collie energy AND puppy life—someone with the time, patience, structure who also possesses a sense of humor would be perfect for this guy and a playful, high-energy dog sibling would be a wonderful bonus! With the right family and plenty of appropriate outlets for his brain and body, he has all the makings of an incredible adventure companion and devoted best friend. If you’re ready for the joy, chaos, cuddles, and commitment of puppyhood, Soup might just be your guy!Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $300. Story
Nebula is an energetic, high-drive Border Collie/Labrador mix who has been with our family for about 5 years. She thrives on physical activity and engagement, but our home environment is no longer the right fit for her and her needs. Her Personality & Traits: Loves active play like tug-of-war, running, and long walks (not a fan of fetch). She is extremely vigilant and vocal, frequently barking at environmental triggers like wind, thunder, and passing people. She craves attention, is affectionate, and often seeks interaction with others. Her Ideal Home: Requires an experienced adopter familiar with herding breeds who can set firm boundaries and continue working on bark management and redirecting her high drive. Best suited for an adult-only home or one without small children due to her hyper energy and tendency to jump. Needs a secure yard or land where her digging and vocal habits won't disturb neighbors.Crate, leash, food/container, treats, and toys included.

Pickles is a distinguished pup who is ready to find her best friend. She is very gentle and is learning to play. Pickles loves to be a shadow, enjoying simply being in someone's presence. She does really well at keeping things clean and would love for her new friend to enjoy walks or spending quiet time together. "Pickles walked up to USU campus with me. Hi, I'm Sparta! I'm a handsome 1-year-old, 62-pound pup with a big personality and plenty of energy! I'm playful, affectionate, and love spending time with my people. I'm still young and learning my manners, so I'll need a family who can continue guiding me with patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement. I enjoy playing with other dogs and have a fun, energetic play style, so I'll do best with a family who can help me learn when it's time to play and when it's time to settle. If you're looking for a silly, active companion who's ready to learn and make lots of memories, I could be your guy!*Qualifies for Pets for Patriots programPlease email Adoptions@saltlakecounty.gov with questions Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 62 Age: 1yrs 3mths 3wks

🐾 Meet Daisy — Our Sweet Senior Girl! 🐾 Daisy is a senior sweetheart with plenty of spunk left in her! Don’t let her age fool you—this girl is energetic, playful, and affectionately described as a bit of a bulldozer. 😂 She loves hard, plays hard, and wants nothing more than to be close to her people. Daisy has separation anxiety, so she would thrive in a home where she won’t be left alone for long periods. She’s incredibly loving and would happily be your constant companion. A few things about our girl: * 🐱 No cats or small animals — Daisy has a very high prey drive. * 🐕 She would do best with a larger dog who can handle her rough-and-tumble play style. * 💨 She may be a senior, but she’s still energetic! * 🧠 Knows some basic obedience commands. * ❤️ She can be reactive when her facial space is invaded and needs a home that will respect her boundaries. * 🥰 Most importantly, Daisy is extremely sweet, affectionate, and loving. Daisy may have some gray hairs, but she certainly hasn’t gotten the memo that she’s supposed to slow down. 😂 She just needs someone who will understand her quirks, give her the companionship she craves, and let her spend her golden years being ridiculously loved. Daisy deserves a soft place to land and a person to call her own. 🐾🤍
