Story
Meet Dos! Dos is an adorable 25-pound Australian Cattle Dog mix, around 11–12 months old, with the sweetest personality and some seriously impressive hops! This playful girl loves toys, backyard zoomies, chasing balls, and catching bugs. She’s smart, treat-motivated, knows “sit,” and is always keeping an eye on what’s happening around her. She’s also crate trained and will happily put herself in her crate for a nap. She’s mostly house trained and making great progress!Dos is a little different when it comes to the big wide world. She warms up quickly to her people, but new places and experiences can make her nervous. Walks and car rides are especially intimidating right now, so she’ll need a patient family willing to help her build confidence at her own pace. She’s good with kids and seems to enjoy other dogs once she gets comfortable. A confident, friendly dog may even help Dos feel more secure. Her experience with cats is unknown.A fenced yard and an active family would be ideal for Dos, where she can get plenty of exercise through play without needing long walks. She’s still working on puppy manners and may chew things she shouldn’t, so continued training will be important.Dos is incredibly sweet, silly, and affectionate. She may need some time to discover that the world isn’t so scary, but with the right person by her side, we think this little bug-catching, zoomie-loving girl is going to blossom! ❤️Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200. Story
Meet Gus Gus is an under-one-year-old Collie, Shepherd & Chihuahua mix who is equal parts cuddle bug, couch potato, and adventure buddy! He can be a little shy at first, especially around big or tall people, but give him some patience, kindness, and a little cheese, and you’ll quickly see his sweet personality shine. Once he trusts you, Gus is an affectionate little “Velcro dog” who loves curling up in your lap, getting belly rubs, falling asleep in your arms, and being by your side.Gus also has an adventurous streak! He loves running, exploring, visiting the dog park, playing with other dogs, and discovering new things. He’s just as happy relaxing on the couch as he is heading out for an adventure—and he absolutely loves when you talk to him.Gus gets along well with other dogs and isn’t territorial or food-aggressive. He knows “sit” and is continuing to work on his leash and crate skills. He’s making great progress and learning that his leash and crate are safe, positive things. And if you’re wondering about his favorite snack, the answer is easy: cheese! Gus is looking for a person who wants a loyal best friend to share everyday life, adventures, and plenty of cuddles. He may be young, but he already knows that the best place to be is right by his person’s side. ❤️Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $200.
