Story
Through no fault of his own, tiny baby Jax found himself at a crowded Louisiana pound in early March. He was soon pulled by a local rescue and has been thriving and growing in foster care ever since. We aren't sure of Jax's history or breed make up, but our best guess is Border Collie x Australian Shepherd mix. As of May 14th, he is 4 months old and weighs 26 lbs. We expect him to be around 50 lbs at maturity. Jax's foster mom says, "He is playful and LOVES toys, especially his giant turtle... when he was smaller, he curled up and slept on it and now he still tries to sleep on his turtle. There aren't many things that Jax does not love but some of his favorites are: playing outside, playing with our dog, playing with the neighborhood kids, playing in water, food (he is VERY food motivated and eats from a slow feeder bowl). He is doing well with learning to potty outside. He will whine/bark when he needs to go outside. He has the cutest little ears and really seems to listen when you talk to him and even tilts his head from side to side. He sleeps quietly through the night in his crate and does listen if you tell him "no"." Jax is a wonderful pup who has had a great start in foster care and is now ready for a forever family to continue his training and help him grow up to be the best boy he can be! Jax's album with more photos + video clips: https://photos.app.goo.gl/BytYMFQbPVhucrzG7 You may have to copy and paste the link into your browser. Jax has completed his full series of puppy shots and is current on heartworm/flea/tick prevention and deworming. He will be neutered and microchipped in late May and then will be ready to travel to his forever home! Jax is currently in foster care in North Louisiana, but we welcome out of state adoptions. We have an amazing transport that delivers all along the East Coast... PA, NJ, CT, NY, VT. PAWS of NE LA was formed back in 2003, and we have been sending our special Southern dogs to wonderful homes up North since 2010.

" Meet Panda – Your Next Adventure Buddy! Panda is a sweet girl who is ready to leave her past behind and start writing her next chapter. She’s the kind of girl who would love nothing more than a family to share life’s adventures with—and then curl up and relax with you when the day is done. Panda plays well with other dogs, absolutely loves the water , and is treat motivated, which makes continued training a whole lot easier! She’s currently perfecting her leash skills and is eager to keep learning. Whether you’re looking for a buddy to explore with, a pup to splash around with, or simply a sweet companion to unwind with at the end of the day, Panda is ready to be your girl. All she needs is someone willing to give her the fresh start and forever home she deserves. " Panda weighs 44 pounds.

Story
Princess is sweet and smart! This medium sized girl is a great size at 35 lbs. She's around 5 years old and has that great energy of being up for a snuggle on the couch or a walk through the fields. She does well with cats and dogs. She does best with older kids as younger ones moving and yelling are a bit much for her. She is a Beagle/Border Collie mix. She has been introduced to different livestock animals and seems to be indifferent to them.
