Story
Bandit is an adorable 4-year old male Border Collie/Spaniel mix who was brought to the HSOV on December 4, 2025 with several of his housemates (including Brutus, Molly, and Spot) for a heartbreaking reason. Their mistress had passed away recently, and there was suddenly they became homeless since there was nobody left to take care of them. This awesome boy has a white coat with black spotting, a long tail, and a beautiful black face with dark brown eyes, a white muzzle with black freckles, and large floppy ears which are fringed in wavy curls. Bandit has a happy, outgoing personality and wiggles his cute derriere the moment you make eye contact with him. Bandit weighs 44 lbs. Bandit will surely steal your heart when you meet him in person (smile). Bandit will be neutered before being officially adopted by his new family. He could be fostered-to-adopt while he is awaiting his neuter procedure with an approved HSOV foster/adoption application. Bandit would love to be back in a loving home instead of a floor crate.

Story
Oliver is a handsome 2-year old male Border Collie mix who was brought to the HSOV on November 13, 2025 by a Good Samaritan who found him on State Route 339 in the Vincent Ohio area. Oliver was not wearing a collar, and he was not microchipped. Oliver has a black medium-haired coat with a large patch of white on his chest, black freckles on his white legs/paws, a long tail with a white tip on the end, and a sweet face with dark brown eyes, a splash of white on the right-hand side of his muzzle, and large floppy ears. Oliver weighs 44 lbs. Thanks to HSOV Volunteer Jennie Payton Sherrard for accompanying Oliver for outdoor photos on November 14th. It was touching to see Oliver politely begging for bites of a donut (no icing) when he noticed two volunteers enjoying Tim Horton donuts in the lobby. Oliver 'sat pretty' and was rewarded with several bites of donuts before returning to his floor crate. In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Oliver will be held for three days so that his family will have an opportunity to reclaim him with proof of ownership. Since he was not reclaimed, Oliver went home with a foster family on December 7, 2025 who plans to adopt him after he is neutered.

Story
Hi, my name is Shaggy! I came into the shelter in Dec 2025 with my brother Diesel. I am a very loving, sweet dog but I also have some energy and love to play. I like other dogs, too, and have lots of friends besides my brother. I am still learning how to walk on a leash, but I learn quickly and do better everyday.
